I'm really eager to discover something new and able to deal cost-efficiently with BL/Infestors/Corruptors/mass spine in the lategame... I mean cost-efficiently given that Zerg is usually ahead in terms of bases ! I mean something not relying on the Zerg messing up and not mind-controlling the mothership or putting all his broodlords in a maelstrom... You know what I mean... If genius doesn't do it, who will ?? Maybe Hero ... or mb Grubby ;D | ||

I used to love MC (and I still do), but his play seems just terribly cheesy by comparison. Genius plays smoothly, has fantastic, FANTASTIC micro, and plays a long game better than any other Protoss right now. I'm really interested to see how his PvZ is at this point, I may have to dig through GOM's old VODs and look for replays! | ||

MC's PvT is pretty "cheesy" (by which I assume you mean all-inish), but none of his recent PvZ series have been noteably all-inish (read: more than 1 all-in in a Bo3 or Bo5) at all - not at HSC or in GSL. And PvP... is PvP. Genius is similar but less all-inish in PvT. He does different all-ins - MC favours 2base Gateway heavy pushes, Genius prefers 3gate VR. Whatever floats your boat. We hardly got to see a good MCvT or an MCvZ this GSL - he was in a completely different league to Ganzi, Parting was a PvP, he had just come back from winning HSC when he played the Ro32. I think it's safe to say that Genius is playing significantly better than MC this GSL, but it's far too early to make general statements about style. The old "MC is a cheesy player" is just that: old and outdated. Saying that MC is just a cheesy player is like saying that all Genius does is VR all-ins - patently false and quite laughable. | ||
