Don't worry PartinG, losing to DRG in code S... ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) ...Is part of the learning process.

DRG has won some tourneys though albeit not GSL Code S. And Genius is so damn fun to watch!

Ok for the ff, its protoss fault, u know how zerg or terrans send a marine or zergling forward to scout for army so they have more notice, well he could have made hillu zealot or phoenix for scout but he did not, he made a whole strat around sentry and did not even utilise it to its fullest extent, when u make a glarining error like that drg deserves to win on missed ff~ hopefully game 3 goes a bit better

My definition of New Guard was "the hopes for this year".
At the same time, you could say that MC got HSC4 and placed high in numerous other tournaments. I don't think putting out results alone is a good idea as far as Old Guard vs New Guard is concerned.
Also, the reason why I'm including Genius with New Guard is because only now is his play becoming worthy (you could even say... genius).

And now Parting is losing? I gotta start waking up earlier to see all the games! I can't believe these results! Anything can happen in SC2, this is universal and true since the beginning.

I'd say Parting/Brown are more of the new guard instead of Genius, because he's just back from before. really new guard is ZenEXTREME also Genius is not new guard, but he's on the very top obv

And now Parting is losing? I gotta start waking up earlier to see all the games! I can't believe these results! PvP is MC's weakest matchup, his TLPD is biased by his extremely good win rate from the old days, but MC has been lacking in PvP for a while now.

Well Genius just outplayed him, not much more that can be said about it. Game 2 was the closest of the series i'd say.

We never saw his PvZ before, it was pretty random to put him winner. DRG on the other hand has a sick ZvP record. Parting has proved himself to be an excellent stratagist and top-level player this GSL. He's got a unique, adaptable style. I think most people expected more out of him from seeing his previous games, but I think those same people also underestimated the amount of pressure a person feels at this level of competition, this deep into a tournament. Looks like Parting is really nervous. He did.. in PvT. He was 0-0 in official PvZ matches. I think it's clear he knows how to play high level PvZ based on these games alone. . . I'm just basing my opinion on the force field mistake, and some other mistakes that seem more due to nervousness than incompetence or poor stratagic thinking. It happens, the guy seems very good, but perhaps not ready for the big stage? P.S. It seems our LIquid Hero has a similar issue. It's not all that uncommon.
I also think so.IMO DRG is just too good for him.

DRG FIGHTING!!~ Yeah, when protoss misses a forcefield all of their buildings should explode instantly, no way anyone should be allowed to come back from that. He was 70supply ahead for the last 10minutes and still has throw wave after wave after wave and even then it was Parting's decision to move on the map that actually decided the game.
You ignore 2 facts.
1. Parting was way ahead in upgrades for a while 2. Protoss units are most expensive. Zerg units are cheapest. A stalker is nearly double the price of a roach, yet they're both two supply. Citing supply is silly.
