Is Alive just unbeatable in practice or something? I'm curious as to what Artosis has seen that gave him that opinion. Artosis has been known to hype players a ton but I still trust him so now I'm kind of scared for MMA xD

Alive played probably the best mech TvT we have ever seen in the ro16. And we all know Artosis loves mech, that's not the only reason but I am sure it is part of it.

I've been saying Alive, when good, is one of the best players in the world since October/November. Give me my money, Artosis.

MMA is still winning, though. He's going to make Alive tilt harder than a fucking tiltawhirl.

So painful to see my two favorite Terrans to clash against each other.

Well about aLive, his TvT has been on fire lately, he took out GanZi, GuMiho, both 2-0 and beat other great names like DRG recently.

MMA, by most is looking to be the number 1 contender for the title, so whoever wins this series can only be stopped by MC, because both would beat DRG in a final series. But since I believe MC would just crush MMA......

Prediction: aLive takes the series 3-2

GuMiho has better chances against Puzzle than people see after Puzzle beat MMA, which is a bad comparison because MMA rather sucks against Toss. GuMiho on the other hand is a player fully capable to beat the worlds best Protoss players, got amazing stats there too,

Prediction: GuMiho takes the series 3-1

Cool, time to liquibet MMA, and never count on Alive ever again.

Oops! Now we got Fionn on Alive. Yep, its confirmed. Never liquibetting this guy again, even in foreign tourneys ;p.

MMA is winning this series. MMA is seriously the perfect player to make Alive tilt. He always has one game in a best-of-five where he throws down a super elaborate cheese of some sort. If Alive falls behind 1-0/2-0, then if he hasn't changed leaps and bounds since joining Fnatic, he'll lose. MMA is the exact opposite. He plays amazing from behind and is one of only three players to come back from a 0-2 hole in GSL history.

Thanks for letting aLive win, buddy. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Shame about the approaching MMA fan rage later though.

Artosis is the jinx. He'll prove it tonight when MMA crushes Alive after Artosis hypes him up as the new MVP. I can already hear him saying it,

"Alive, right now, is the best player in the world. MVP showed us that mech is the best TvT strategy, but Alive played even better mech than MVP. MMA won't be able to beat him."

You'll see. You'll all see.

inb4 aLive destroys MMA 3-0.
to be serious though, I'd rather aLive win; hopefully such a win might steel up his nerves for later and I never really liked MMA (strikes me as a player who wins by preparation rather than actual raw skill... see Providence, where he dropped straight series to fall out because he couldn't really prepare. His other wins have been mainly against weaker fields e.g. IEM).

I'm also hoping the Puzzle-Gumiho series isn't the mess that was Oz-Jjakji a few months ago... overprepared builds. Oz can play like Puzzle fairly easily and I'm hoping between Choya, Oz and Gumiho, they make a few amazing strats and improvements to Gumi's game.

The only thing that annoys me here is that Artosis will never stop harping on about mech being best in TvT

I agree that the key to MMA's victories lie in his preparation and the support he gets from the team, but I can't agree with your comment on MMA's raw skill. It's one thing to analyze a matchup and prepare builds ahead of time, but it's a completely different world in executing those builds in a BoX series. MMA has shown us plenty of times that he's fully capable of making reads of his opponents and then choosing the right decisions based on those impromptu observations, and if that isn't a good measure of skill then I don't know what is.

Why does Tastosis seem to not be a fan of MMA at all? I can't think of a time they have ever predicted him to win or hyped him up. I mean look at this: In a match between 2 time gsl champion super star MMA and Alive Artosis is about to argue for ALIVE being the best in the world...Why the lack of MMA hype?
