If you can't report that person, then just move along, you have better things to do then waste your time with someone who refuses to show you respect. Any arguments/conversations concerning balance or anything offtopic from the LR ussually end up dragging the whole thread down. Not to say that off topic discussions are a bad idea but when said discussions are surrounding something negative (such as the community needs to grow up and stop being so immature) can only lead to what it is trying to stop. If I came to you and said, "I really hate how you argue over silly things, you need to stop, and you need to do a better job at conversing" - you would call me an asshole and probably shout a few nasty things back. If you think you're a reasonable person, then sure you can be a reasonable person but for every person that would respond to my theoretical question positively there would be a dozen other immature people that would never want to be my friend again. And we cannot prune those immature people away or expect that when insulted (and I feel like Seeker insulted the community) they will not act that way. Instead, if you have a problem with people acting immaturely in a LR then you need to lead be example and say positive things in return. The problem that I find with Seeker's post is that I think most people on TL do lead be example do act mature. It may not seem like that at times but that probably because you are having trouble ignoring the posts by PBUs. | ||

TL mods typically are more lenient toward people who make big contributions to the community (and rightfully so, IMO). Seeker is one of those people. 2. Seeker's post only insults the community if you interpret it as such. To me, his post is basically saying, "If you are one of these people that I am describing, you know who you are. Stop acting how you're acting, because it isn't constructive at all." I see no reason for someone to feel insulted if the post and behaviors described in the post don't apply to him/her. | ||
