Pro should not be silent if playing conditions are not optimal. Sure they should. It's called be professional and providing the entertainment that the fans want and sponsors expect.
Excuse me? I fully agree that forfeiting lik nani did is just BS and very unprofessional, but not articulating about such grave flaws in a tournament, you must be joking.

i was ok with him probe rushing nestea, I thought that losing Code S for that was a stupid decision by GomTv(and i still think it is, a pointless game shouldnt be played)
But this is stupid... Strelok played under the same conditions and he had to play naniwa knowing that losing the series could destroy his tournament chances. and now it was all for nothing... imagine he would've lost, imagine naniwa winning with those lags, he wouldnt have forfeited the tournament, he would've continued. It's just inacceptable... Now if the ESL keep the 2:1 score instead of making it 2:0 it becomes even worse...
Sorry but I think you're wrong, following NaNiwa already since his arrival in the wc3 scene. I think I can say for pretty sure he would also forfeit if he won. NaNiWa wants proper conditions else he don't play....And he is right in that way, however in this particular case he is also an invite, who is there to represent the Korean scene and in that light it isn't smart that he forfeited. However beside of that, his decision makes full sense in my opinion. I seriously seriously doubt that. He played through 3 games of huge lag and not ONCE did he leave early because of it, he even stayed in the game after a failed proxy gate rush..., he stayed in the game after his nexus and 1 colossus went down, he stayed in there till the reinforcements of strelok finished off the second colossus...
I dont know, but trying so desperately to win a game despite of all the lag strongly indicates that he intended to stay in the tournament...

For all these stupid analogies people are making they aren't even thinking to realise that it affects both players, Naniwa wasn't at a disadvantage he just hasn't got the mental strength of other pros.
PS: oh god the bass And how do you know they are equally affected? Are you sitting next to naniwa? There is internet problems at the event, but naniwa also said there were PC problems before his match even started.

Honestly i think Quantic might had a word with him, makes sense. A guy like Naniwa needs to be talked to after he goes a little mental.

Pro should not be silent if playing conditions are not optimal. Sure they should. It's called be professional and providing the entertainment that the fans want and sponsors expect. To what degree? What if a tournament forced them to play one race, without a chair, on the KR server on Steppes of War while lagging. The pros shouldn't say anything because they're doing what the fans and sponsors want right? Fuck no, SC2 is about the players more than anyone else. Lag is not the end of the world. It's more like playing football in the rain.
And it's not about the players more than anyone else. It's a symbiotic relationship between players, fans, casters and sponsors. Without all of them none of this is possible.

This situation is so odd. Did they report him quitting when he in fact didn't?

IMHO NaNi is a prima example af a "rage kiddie". Same skills, other midset and he would crush, and he know it; hes not stupid. But the rage kiddie inside of him just gets him everytime.

I´m from sweden and I think Naniwa is acting like a jerk.

Those Space-Marines sound so funny when they die. Almost like: "YEAH!".
