Via @IntelIEM I lost all the respect i had for that guy... what a whiny kid. Yeah, how dare he request proper conditions to play his profession? Bring the torches! Are you kidding me ? Quantic payed his ticket to Kiev and IEM invited him, then he withdraw from a tournament because of " t echnical problems " ( which can be solved anyways... )He is just an immature kid. Probably he left because he is pissed that he lost against Strelok.
let´s see about that in a few hours, shall we.

Yes really, lagg doesn't affect a proxy rush. Haven't most big tournaments lagged in the start by the way? I think so... Quitting everything after 1 match. I'm sure Quantic is happy they payed flight, hotel and everything. LoL
Are you for real? Lag doesn't just affect the game itself, but also the mental state of the player. Even if Strelok had the same lag, it doesn't mean he was equally affected. And Nani plays with a micro intensive style, which someone already stated. The tournament winner should be the one who plays the best, and not the one who can play with immense lag and still win.

He is doing your tournament a favor. Imagine if MMA just left because the conditions were bad, would you blame him? the problem is guys like MMA knows what respect is, for a tournament, fans, viewers etc, you're example is sad. Naniwa is a contender not an entertainer. Be happy that almost everyone will continue to play even under horrible conditions but don't blame Naniwa. His team and their sponsors will absolutely blame naniwa even if you accept that line of reasoning

I feel bad for quantic, they just manage to sign Naniwa, and then he first make whole korean community mad at him+gets thrown out of gsl, then he goes to iem and tries to make sure never to get a spot in their tournaments again aswell?!?!? WTF

Because they didn't just get off a 20 hour flight to get there

this guy will never change... he ruins every tournament he attends to.
ok I hope I'm wrong and he's gonna finish the tournament...

It is partly IEM fault. But you guys fail to see the big picture,IF we have LAN none of these shit would be happening. If you want to blame someone, blame Blizzard for not implementing LAN into SC2.People wanted LAN since forever but Blizzard have not intention doing so.

Is there a tournament he hasn't dissed somehow? Well there is this, which is the mildest of the incidents i suppose.
The "joke tournament" at mlg.
And the Probe Rush in GSL.
It isn't so much that this is a big deal, i wouldn't want to play with lag either, but he knows what position he's in given his past stunts, why bring more fuel for the fire?<
Edit: Was he on quantic during blizzard cup? If not, this is also his first tournament for his new team ...

All the sporting analogies fail, this isn't a safety issue. It's just an annoyance that makes them play a bit worse. Pro's put up with it and do their best. Everyone's under the same conditions and they'll still be a winner. The issues will be worked out before the end of the tourney, nani should've just hung in there but got pissy cause he fucked up vs strelok.

If its not up to standard, why should he sabotage his play due to their failure? Because nobody can control Bnet 0.2. It's not IEM's fault that Blizzard won't implement LAN It is, if the tournaments told Blizz to add it THEY WOULD!

People are making too big of a deal out of this. If Naniwa feels the conditions are unplayable he has the right to forfiet. The only ones who should be upset over this are the sponsors that pay for Naniwa to give them exposure, but that's between them and him.

Wow, okay i've stood by Naniwa in all the drama but this is just bad manner! Everybody there is probably experiencing the same problems and he just quits? Great way to say fuck you to all the fans (me included, im a huge nani fan). You don't do that! You just don't do that!!! I want to see naniwa play, how the hell am i supposed to be a fan of a player who just gives up when things doesn't go his way? We want to support you when things are hard, but you obv don't want to support your fans. -.-

the consequence of everyone yelling that football player have to play on wet fields as well could only be that STARCRAFT players would have to train with lag. are you serious?
