Puma won NASL S2, IEM "Germany", 2nd in Dreamhack.

Thank you captain obvious. The only other team that is close to EG in terms of championships is TL who won dreamhack summer which had 4(bomber, mc, july, moon) koreans at while huk won a stacked mlg orlando. EG had the best accomplishments in 2011. The EG hage generated by the foreign community is staarting to get absurd where its starting to cloud the obvious.

Well for group one, Brown is on SlayerS so he has a chance. And Puzzle and PartinG are really fucking good, but so are NaDa and Keen. Who knows :S

eg hate is a very small minority, if you actually think the majority of foreign community hates EG you'd be wrong. they market their players for the foreign community. they have the most popular foreigner on their team.

I do hate EG (their way of getting talent is cheap and a bad example to the community) but I'm cool with their players. I wanted Machine to succeed for a very long time, and Puma always delivers top-level games.

Damn after todays matches MVP might be my new favorite team... Genius and DRG TROLL FACE

By cheap and a bad example you mean the standard in e-sports? Buying players is completely normal for almost any sport.

They only buy players who are pretty much guaranteed to be successful and have proven themselves. Those players came from another team who took the opposite risk. EG does not produce good players but with their resources they don't need to do anything else. Unfortunately everyone cannot be EG.

Getting talent can be done through training and investing in a player or just buying into already successful players. There's a significant portion of people in general who see the managers who can develop those no-name talent as someone to look up to; and honestly it does take skill on the part of the coaches and managers to develop good players. There's also just buying talent, which people don't really see much skill in because you just got a lot of money to throw around.
I don't see throwing money around as bad, I just think it's a lot easier to do than training players to be top-class.

Buying does bring hate though. Just look at the Miami Heat. Everyone wanted them to lose last year

Well of course. That's how any sport works. You don't see coaches in the NFL drafting players who can't catch a ball, or UFC fights with people who aren't top of the line brawlers.
Once they do buy their players, I'm pretty sure there is good evidence that the players within EG get better over time, unless they already came from a different team that was just as skilled (like Huk).

We're not discussing competence versus incompetence, but success versus potential success. Unfortunately there is no self-contained "lower league" for the SC2 scene where players can show off their stuff prior to getting into the professional scene.
Really? I see very little evidence for that for any of their players.

Seriously. Holy shit. Hoping for Brown and Parting to make it out! THey are new talent players!
Anyhow, I totally expected Genius to made it easily and he did. His game 1 vs sC was very technical and very high level. And then the next game was funny as hell cuz Artosis just didn't stop laughing and all the bm lol.
DRG is a beast in ZvT, idk how did he win the last game, sC mightnot be in a good condition i guess.

Well most sports teams buy select players to augment their existing home grown talent.
I don't feel any foreign teams have created their own talents though except Liquid with Huk, Outside of that teams mostly just fly players places and don't really do much for their practice, or players are just ex BW/Wc3 pro's.
