You should keep this to PM's. And its fueling the unneeded "drama".

Of course some people will like this thread better
OF COURSE some people will like Seeker's threads better
You can't please absolutely everyone
Though that doesn't mean improvement should not be sought; of course if there is room for improvement it should always be explored.
While I don't think suddenly creating this thread for all to see and discuss "which is better" is a good idea, I do think that the OP is nice and clean. Do I prefer it? No. But I do see how some people might, and Seeker should take that into consideration. I do think that this 'suggestion' should have been done in private first, before having it posted. Of course it is a free world and Seeker isn't the only person with the right to make LR threads. But he's the only one so far (along with the other contributors, fishuu, hassybaby, etc) that's been consistent in making the threads, updating results, and providing other bits of information (casters, tips for gom player, etc). OP even mentions that he won't be able to update this. It's not that easy making the threads and trying to please everyone (which as we can see is impossible). Likely there'll be a near even split between LR style preference... so which one should stay?
So yeah. I like the fun LR threads Seeker makes (minus balance whiners and trolls, which all LR threads will have =/ ) more than this one, but I do like the banner.

The LR threads of Seeker, MrCon, etc. are unbelievably cluttered with these ridiculous themes that have little-to-nothing to do with the games themselves other than to provide a cartoonish atmosphere that makes it difficult to take the GSL seriously simply by its association with the content of said threads.
The formatting and presentation with this thread perfectly aligns with the professionalism the GSL exudes. This is a prime example of someone who has never watched a GSL cast. Tastosis have a large amount of professionalism but they do also crack nerdy jokes throughout the cast. The GSL is not some stiff-necked company dude Actually I think things are changing with the GSL. It looks to me like GOM are trying to up the professionalism across the board, and it seems like Tastosis have changed thing a little bit this season to accommodate that. Last cast I watched of them they asked which X-men Nestea and MVP were....

Nice, LR threads looks really cool.
Although I think you should have posted this as ¨SC2 LR thread format ¨ or something.. But overall I like it.

If MMA doesn't make it out of this group it will be more surprising then Fin not making it.

Not saying I don't like clean looks, but I much prefer having some humor. Seeker does an awesome job at that <3
Edit: Essentially I think you should use something akin to the text banners for each section as the OP does. Their size and prominence does help organize. Other than that, keep making awesome LR threads.
And for people saying Seeker's threads are immature: are SC2 matches and LR threads that hardcore serious business to you that you expect complete stoicism? I mean, if you do, that's your prerogative. I'm just amazed that people feel that way. I mean, you're on a forum just simply discussing matches, it's not like you're at some gala event in suit and tie and scotch's on the rocks and monocles going "that was exemplary use of the Dark Templar by oGsInca." "Yes, yes, quite so good sir."

If I'm gonna get called out like this (and don't even try to say he didn't call me out. He clearly did) I have the right to respond. Now if it seems like I'm overreacting and being rash then fine, that is your opinion. In my opinion, he went about this the wrong way and did not even CONSIDER how I would feel I think u take making LR threads too seriously mate, it's just some threads...
Just someone make a poll and decide what ' style ' is better. But imo ur LR threads are a bit too immature...

I can't believe you called out Seeker in your post... Extremely unprofessional, and undeserved. It's not his fault that you got banned because of your lack of post integrity and inability to address displeasure without coming off as an offensive poster. He is a veteran of this forum and deserves better than that, had you approached the matter with more courtesy I might have paid attention to it, as it stands I will not, I'll be refreshing Seeker's thread.

"Let's see you do better" is an overused and misused line of logic on these forums, but in this situation it actually applies. Seeker does not own the rights to SC2 LR. Nobody appointed him to do what he does and nothing is stopping anyone else from making your own LR thread. For those of you who are dissatisfied with Seeker's OP, why don't you do something about it instead of sitting around complaining? Hell, you could copy this thread's OP and use it for the real LR thread. Maybe staying up late at night/early morning 4 days a week will give you guys some appreciation for the work that goes into making and updating these things.

wow the header photo featuring the 4 players is REALLY cool! i love it!

Okay so I looked at the two LR threads side by side. The differences are:
1. Seeker has a little more stuff: the adorable pic of the contributors by fishuu, and I think they deserve to have that on the LR thread; a pic of Tastosis, so people know who'll be casting; and the little bit about GOM Player lagging and how to fix it 2. This LR has nicer banners for sub sections (results, polls, etc) 3. Holy shit that's about it.
All the additional, 'unnecessary' content is spoilered: kpop (which I hate) and LR theme. They are spoilered so you don't have to look at them. Seriously does it make it any more cluttered to have 2 more spoiler sections that you don't have to open?

Reading threads like this is so frustrating. Please go read the OP's first post in this thread (not the LR post, the one directly under it) before posting : (

I think the first step here is to look at how much dedication Seeker puts in.
The guys that do LR threads every day aren't necessarily the ones with Photoshop skillz (see my banner for Arena of Legends Group 1).
If someone were to make graphics for Seeker, I don't see him saying "no kthx bye" but at the same time, I know Seeker doesn't have the time to make his own graphics. I certainly don't have time to make my own, and I send thousands of thanks to shiroiusagi every time she does mine for me.

I'm usually not amused by DBZ/Pokemon references or kpop stuff in the LR threads, but that doesn't bother me too much. For me, this layout is cleaner, so I do like it.
However, the big thing that does piss me off about Seeker's threads are the uselessness of the polls. Most useful poll would probably be something like dividing into two polls for "good play" versus "watch this game because something interesting happened"
Game 1 - Combat-Ex vs Chill
Quality of Play (these choices should be pretty much constant) A) Brilliant B) Solid B) Someone Messed up too much C) Bad All Around
Amusement Factor (you can make up whatever here) A) Woah! Cool Beans. B) Boring C) ROFLWHATTHEIDONTEVENKNOW D) Artosis has something stuck in his hair the whole cast
Also, Seeker, you're overreacting. Only you can prevent forest fires e-sports drama.

It's 3:13am in his time zone... he might have just posted and gone to sleep. and I suppose in his previous post (that he got temp banned for) you guys did challenge him to try and make a better one. Which he accepted, I guess?

FYI Kid got banned for criticizing your LR threads -- says so in his post right under the OP. Being banned from TL can be pretty depressing and lead to soul searching as to how to be a model member of this site in the future.
Best guess? He's not attacking you personally, he just thought he would constructively respond to being unbanned by proposing a new look for the LR threads.
Pretty sure he even says you can use it, update it, etc... doesn't sound too much like a personal attack.

I know I'm overreacting.
But wouldn't anyone be angry and want to respond if they put in a lot of effort and work for something, only to have some guy come out of nowhere, make a complaint, not even come up front about it, and blatantly throw a thread in your face?
Because last time he made complaints in the LR thread, someone replies "well, why don't you go make your own LR thread then?" like you did here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=299117¤tpage=4#69
There you go. He did an example. Except he doesn't have the schedule to make one for real. Thus the explanation in the first reply.
Here's what OP said again, in case it helps to re-read it:
So I've set up this thread to show a proposal of how LR might look like. Some of you might hate it, but that's not the point. The point is to encourage people with some Photoshop skills and willingness to enhance SC2 LR threads that Seeker and Co keep so delightfully updated with results and LRs to help them out.
