HerO is the most talented player out of this group, no doubt about that.

Check sc2earnings.com or stfu.

What do tournament winnings have to do with anything? By that logic PuMa is the 5th most talented player in the world.

PuMa is ridicolous underrated. Easily one of the most consistent Terrans in Tournaments.

I hope for HerO and JYP, but I think HerO/Clide and July is more possible, still HerO fighting!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

Except GSL where he loses first round in Code A Quals every time.

I don't know if I would put Puma into top 10 Korean terran list but he does well in foreign tournaments.

I honestly think HerO's got a very good chance. Look at all these players and what they have accomplished. Luvsic has 0 achievements, and so does YuGiOh. JYP and Clide each have like 2 things they've won and the only one who's accomplished as much as HerO is July. Since the top 2 of the group advance, why can't it be HerO and July?

this is the GSL. If HerO is that good. He woulda secured Code S seasons ago.

Top 10?

Top 5 you mean.

He comes 3rd in Total prize money behind MVP and MMA, and won far more in SC2 than for example Bomber, GanZi or similar Code S Terrans

In the end, its all about money, why should he care about peoples oppinions.

I am sorry but it's ridiculous to call Puma top 5 since he has no achievements in GSL. Winning foreign tournaments doesn't mean much if you can't win or place high where the real competitions are.

Flo, who was recently signed to Quantic Gaming, is 131st overall in prize money. Would you rank her in the Top 150 Players in the world even though all her prize money came from an invitational female-only tournament?

Earnings is not an appropriate judge of skill level.

There were lots of high calibre MLG tournaments where he did well.

Being unlucky in GSL in a Bo1 series is nothing to blame him for.

WC3 top favorite Moon lost in his group at WCG in the same manner.

Lol, if foreign tournaments don't count as competition then I don't know what the hell you call Providence or Dreamhack.

The point is that it's not all about prize money. By that logic, players like Rainbow, Rain, Socke, and Select (all of whom are okay/pretty good or at least used to be) are in the top 30 best players in the world, while Loner is in the top 40. Meanwhile, we completely disregard all 32 players in Code S while we watch Naniwa (one of the 15 best players in the world according to the silly earnings metric) and Thorzain (top 30 by the silly metric) lose in the first round of Code A.

He was. I dunno if I'd say he was the top favorite, but there were plenty of pro players saying right before WCG that he looked like he could take it. Had a bad day though, etc. Happens. This War3 WCG was pretty bleh except for Fly vs. Lyn, which makes sense, since they were the only two players who played like they belonged in the tournament. Everyone else played really bad and sloppy.

You didn't even have to try that hard. FruitDealer is the 2nd zerg in all-time winnings but he's had the largest (and saddest) fall from grace. Started at 25-7, and has gone 20-34 since then, losing 260 ELO points. That's a shocking 37% win rate. No one would suggest calling him the second-best zerg today.
