I think so too. When that deathball is all u have left u are always going to want to be careful against losing units for no reason - blinking stalkers into banelings etc.

Seriously, someone please answer this for me.

How do Koreans have NO facial hair?
No stubble, there is no sign they shave, there is no sign hair EVER existed below their nose.
Nestea and Polt are both adults...

Maybe I just suck at shaving.

Probably sick micro.

I actually feel a bit ashamed of myself for making these jokes. Not about my Fionn vs the world of Polt unbelievers though. Shame versus pride, at least there is balance in my life.

Lol.
I am MrCash and this is my favorite response to my question.
Even though it wasn't very educational.

I noticed.. most Korean SC2 uses 3 commentators.. but the English commentating always uses 1-2, never 3.

Why is that? I think 3 would be awesome.

They actually delegate separate tasks and have different responsibilities.
Most English casters simply stumble over each other.

If you will note Artosis and Tasteless have different job titles. One is commentator and the other is caster.
They have a very good synergy because Tastless promotes Artosis' analysis, and Artosis lets Tasteless focus on entertaining and narration. Even they sometimes switch responsibilities though.

Also when there are 3 they can hit a nice harmony with their screams of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I think economy was irrelevant to the game, Naniwa's advantage at that point was a massive army that could destroy anything Leenock has at that point - the game wasn't going to draw out no matter what happens so the best call in my opinion was to destroy tech to maximise army advantage by either destroying unit production or delaying it.

No, it's better to kill the individual tech buildings
He doesn't have time to kill everything and hive takes a long time

I would have been more concerned about everything above hatch tech. His unit composition (stalker/zealot/HT) can deal with ling/bane easily.

Killing hive is not very good... he would still be able to produce if he did not snipe tech and it would take very long to kill hive and all the associated tech buildings and nani could not wait as he has no economy.

Kill hive, kill infestation pit, force ling/bane. His army could have taken down the hive in 15 seconds at least.

Naniwa had an economy. This was before Leenock threw all those banelings into the third.

Apart from his blink into the ramp into 20 banelings, his micro was Happy-WC3-level micro.

What would have been the point of taking out the tech?

Leenock would've just rebuilt them at his other base. All he built in the end were zerglings and banelings. Naniwa could've taken out the Hive and the Greater Spire but what would have been the point?

I don't understand why the commentators keep emphasizing this point. As soon as Naniwa started working on the tech Leenock would've just started rebuilding them and it would've bought him time to make a bigger army as well.

The zerg tree doesn't allow the rebuilding of everything that fast. He kills teh Hive nest spawning pool spire infestation pit and ya Leenock coulda rebuilt em but it woulda taken 5 minutes. 5 minutes of no units basiclly insures a win for naniwa

THis. people who say that the tech was not important are blind. taking down the hive, spawn P, spire and infestation would mean the zerg taking forever to get up units.

Leenock never remaxed on hive anyway after that point

caster bashing not allowed, ban?

On topic, Naniwa played better that game, until the end, god it was so frustrating watching him run around very uncertainly..but eh. He can take a few games I hope. He can take Nestea

nah Leenock showed he is is class above Naniwa. He just lost some concentration but still he wast going to lose no matter what naniwa did.

foreigner bias ftw

Naniwa made that game a lot closer than it probably should have been considering the MASSIVE economy lead leenock was able to secure with his map control. It seems like the turtle against mutas strat needs a 4th to really work well otherwise the mass economy seems to win in the end despite some very relatively poorly handled battles from leenock

Leenock sacrificed army to do econ damage. It's not like he just got to destroy 40 probes and 2 bases for free.

The economic dmg reallly came after that massacre happend. I just feel like if you are going to do the strat of turtle up get an army that can crush his to prevent a base rase, crush his army, crush him before he can remake it then you need a 4th to at least resupply your army at a relatively decent rate.

NesTea attacked into a well defended choke with ultralisks while allowing all his infestors to be hit with an EMP after casting about 2 fungals and then let 2 vikings kill his broodlords because he had no support for them.

Something like that =)
