It was as much of a thrown game as this one.

I don't really understand why you are mad at him, to me he didn't do anything wrong. If I'm tuning in to watch the Chicago Cubs (or even worse if I am at Wrigley Field) and it's late September and they've already been eliminated, then I expect to see a competitive match. They may be fielding all their minor league talent but I expect the match to be played to full regardless of it not having any impact whatsoever in the pennant race. If I see both teams going up and bunting every time just so they can get the game over quicker then I'm going to be pissed. Just like I'm pissed at Naniwa right now. If he didn't want to play a macro game then he could have attempted a 4gate or a cannon rush or anything that wasn't simply 1-Aing his probes into Nestea's main.

You seriously think the teams in the football world cup play to win some prizemoney? Even if a crappy team loses all their games they will still fight like crazy to take at least one win with them home, to show their fans that they tried their very best. You obviously don´t watch sports, or at least doesnt understand it. Since you bring up football we can compare it to champions league. Last stage of group play when teams are already qualified you always see teams change their entire line-up for reserves. I guarantee you they don't do it for the fans....

Calling a probe rush a strategy is insulting , i guess its a strategy to lose...... Yes, I am sugarcoating it, I think he didn't care if he won or not, but how do you prove it? Stephano did something which objectively broke the rules (saying "gl Hero" or something to that effect). I don't think either of these players should be banned or anything severe because neither Naniwa or Stephano didn't gain anything from their actions. A slap on the wrist maybe would be in order (maybe a bit harder than a slap for Naniwa so he shapes up)

Meaningless matches are usually played at the end of the seasons and the teams played to win. Even though they might not use their best players but no team purposely throw the game away. Naniwa is very unprofessional and deserves a punishment. lol at this. teams rest their best players and you still compare it with playing to win? Naniwa is one person, would it be ok if he sent someone els? As for all the other sports. every year the discussion is on about the teams that has nothing to play for. Ive seen so many games were teams more or less just go out on the field or ice, but nothing more. if they dont have anything to play for they wont perform at all. perhap like 20mins or so but when that first goal fals they stop trying. Its how it has always been, its part of sport and something people have to live with.

But I still wouldn't think of it as a viable strategy. it can win a 6 pool i think... If you have amazing micro... and scout him 1st if its a 4 player map...

If you mean the recommended poll, most people just clicked Yes for the hell of it simply because of how retarded it was and I feel everyone else should see it. Doesnt mean it isn't dumb tho. I would agree. If I was Coca I would be rather upset if no action was taking against Naniwa, granted the circumstances are not identical.

The reason professional sports leagues crack down on misbehaviour is because they need to maintain the air respectability, professionalism, and legitimacy. These things are crucial to the long-term survival of a league--in their absence, betting cannot occur, analysts cannot make a living, serious advertisers cannot do their thing, viewers lose interest. This sort of drama, while it may produce short term interest, if left unchecked is extremely bad for any sport.

In the future people will report every cheeser as they are disappointed and the player is unprofessional for not playing a "proper" game Ah, the logical fallacies. That's a false analogy and a slippery slope fallacy. When people 6 pool they have the intent of trying to win. They don't remove their hands from the keyboard and cross their arms (Khaldor said he did this!). 6 pooling has shown success, especially vs toss. There is literally no chance attacking with 7 probes can win. Literally none. Even if Nestea 7 pools he pulls his drones away, makes zerglings and wins. So what would happen if Naniwa had actually killed all of Nesteas drones? You think he'd send his probes back and try to win? No because he had no intention of winning. Did I say I was mad because he didn't play a "proper" game? No, your argument is horrible because it doesn't exist. You rely on lies and fallacies. Cheesing and throwing a game aren't even in the same hemisphere.

Dat doubble standard Do you mean the tournament in which he was obviously jetlagged and falling asleep in his booth? If so, these are not comparable situations. He did not quit because he was angry. Stop with that nonsense.

Zergs: 1- See tanks unsieged 2- a-move banes, lings and mutas 3- Target tanks with mutas and then pick off leftover marines 4- Repeat from step 1 when terran macroes another army. haha, good comparison. Though I want to point out that Polt has some really impressive micro when he was attacking that most people who don't watch carefully just won't appreciate.
