You are from the Netherlands so I will just be ignorant here and assume that you watch at least some football. Many leagues are decided before the last series of matches are played, how much more drama would it be if the teams that had nothing to gain/lose would just stand on the field for 90 minutes?

Maybe because when you 6 pool you can win? Probe rush vs zerg is auto loose, idk if u know this but 1 drone beats 1 probe.

As for comparing this to professional games, this is WAY different. To use the Colts example someone brought up, the colts games will at least determine the draft order for the next season, whereas naniwa vs nestea has absolutely no meaning other than pride. It would be more like a preseason game where teams use 2nd and 3rd strings very often (which could be seen as "throwing games").

Love his attitude, pointless match. Yay! I found a friend!

That doesn't mean he did the right thing. Ok so everybody who would have done the same thing as him should be qualified as someone who "has personality and creates drama" ?
It takes a very selfish personality (or a lot of balls, if he did it for the purpose of giving the finger to GOMTV for making him play a match that doesn't matter) to produce the kind of behavior that Naniwa produced. Anyone can do it, but Naniwa is the one who did it.

So if a team decided to walk off the field/court because they have no chance of advancing to the playoffs, that they wouldn't be penalized?

Can you imagine the shitstorm a team would get if they blatantly threw a game? You know how much effort and money is at stake each game? Wtf is wrong with YOU? In Soccer in the EPL, many teams which have 2 fixtures near each other may throw 1. I think there was stoke vs chelsea whereby stoke played all weaker players as they felt they would lose... and kept their 1st team rested for the next game... This is throwing a game

QFT. Idra already denied viewers from IPL3 groupstage matches, and I haven't seen the same reaction than here.

I'll admit throwing a game like that is pretty bad, but in my opinion that game should not of been played. I'm pretty sure they don't play games in the up and down matches if neither player can make it.

Yeah, Idra went through group selections and then left Korea, forfeiting all of his Code S games and ruining his group. I think Nani's move is about the same. At least he could have done a mothership rush or something if he didn't want to play seriously. Idra handled it completely differently. GSL actually gave him a farewell video. Do you really think they did that to someone who just up and left?

If gom didn't want games to be thrown they shouldn't have a format that includes a throwaway game.. I wouldn't want to play either in that situation, I wish he would've at least proxy gateway rushed or something but you can't blame him for not wanting to play a game that means nothing.

Could people stop speculating on what was going through NaNi's head? Maybe he was pisse, maybe he was scared to lose, we don't know, and we wont know till he says something himself, if ever.
Sick TvT inc, can we care about that instead?
