Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.
Enjoy the games. |

-_- Some people and their fanboyism, really. You can watch him stomp foreigners all day, but the GSL is a differnece monster, and Hero has never performed well. The liquid bias really is maddening sometimes, but on the site teamliquid.net I suppose we can't expect anything else.

I really hope Stephano can make it out of this group. He sure has the potential to do it - but does he have the raw skill yet? Stephano fighting!

Its gonna be awesome,
I'd say MVP and DRG will get top 2 , 3rd place is harder to decide tho

MVP the obvious favorite to win, and I don't think he will disapoint. Looking forward to see how all the others do I feel like any match could go either way very easily. Rooting for Stephano and if he actually decides to scout the Protoss he is my favorite to beat them. I would rate his ZvZ higher than DRG but not too sure about it. Fighting!

Such an amazing tournament, but with the maps drawn favoring certain players so much. This is the perfect example of the problem of bo1. Luck of the draw is too important.
In any case. though I hope for stephano to do well, I think the odds are stacked against him. First time playing the GSL-format with preparation-time for opponents, a tough situation where two of his opponents are regulars in the team-house, thus complicating preparation, the zerg race the most vulnerable to prepared strategies and bad maps against Hero and MVP. Furthermore, his opponents, besides MC, have all recently shown great form vs Z. Well, here's hoping.
Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised not to see MVP qualify.

9,99 USD for a mini seasonal tournament? I never experienced GOMtv to be a greedy company charging so much for a ticket? Hope this isnt a sign of companies taking advantage of the ammount of fans that want to watch Sc2.
Edit: For thoose who havent bought a 2012 Annual pass
Poll: Are you buying a ticket for Blizzard cup for 9,99 USD?No (17) 45% Yes (13) 34% Considering it (8) 21% 38 total votes Your vote: Are you buying a ticket for Blizzard cup for 9,99 USD? (Vote): Yes (Vote): No (Vote): Considering it

People who think that Hero is actually good really need to take a look at his Korean TLPD.
Hero only looks good because Liquid flies him around so he can own up bad foreigners. He's not good compared to Koreans.
I'd argue that he's the worst player in this group.

I paid the $100 for the annual thing and this came with it!

Don't you already get a ticket for having GSL November? That might skew the poll significantly.

I think Hero gets through - he got the best maps he could have asked for - and then the rest depends on MC's PvZ. I think MC beats MVP, but MVP def beats both the zergs. If MC can beat them, he's through, if not, MVP and Hero advance (I think that's more likely).
In fact, no. We wont know anything about that. Remember, when Stephano wins BO1, it doesn't mean anything. No reason it would mean more if he looses.
Do not misunderstand me. I not one of these fan boys who think or say that Stephano is "the best".
I just would like arguments to be the same for everybody.

I asked a few pages ago but didn't get an answer so sorry again but I'm confused at the new gom ticket page, how if possible do you buy a ticket solely for the blizzard cup and how much is it. The cheapest I can find is 15$, is that the price?

No it does not come with GSL November, it comes for free if you buy one of the annual passes for 2012 (except the light package.)

Click on Blizzard Cup then go to tickets, you can buy it for $9.99 with ads or $19.99 without ads.

Sorry, I was giving out false information =/
You do NOT get a free pass with GSL November.
Which sucks for me... T_T

OP: Can you update with correct information, so people arent being missleaded?

You obviously don't read anything or pay attention to anything meaningful. HerO is great compared to Koreans. He was heralded as the best Protoss in the oGs House for some time before joining Liquid. He was rank 1 on Korean GM, much like DRG... who he knocked out of Code A before DRG got into Code S through MLG (I believe). Artosis, Tasteless, Day[9], etc have all praised him as one of the top Protoss players in the world, if not the best. Every player on Liquid will tell you how good HerO is. He is great and has the potential to be a long standing champion. Your ignorance is laughable (yes, I am aware that I am a fanboy, but with good reason mind you).
