Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable. And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining. Enjoy the games.

He was heralded as the best Protoss in the oGs House for some time before joining Liquid. He was rank 1 on Korean GM, much like DRG... who he knocked out of Code A before DRG got into Code S through MLG (I believe). Artosis, Tasteless, Day[9], etc have all praised him as one of the top Protoss players in the world, if not the best. Every player on Liquid will tell you how good HerO is. He is great and has the potential to be a long standing champion. Your ignorance is laughable (yes, I am aware that I am a fanboy, but with good reason mind you). Ok then tell me why he routinely loses to mediocre Koreans such as . . . let's see . . . Yugioh, Dreamertt, asd, and Noblesse. If he's losing to these types of players regularly, he can't be considered a top Korean. He is, however, a decent Korean protoss and it shows since he can beat foreigners without too much trouble, but someone who loses to midtier Koreans and has a sub-50% winrate on TLPD should never ever ever be considered a top Korean. Hero's results in Korea speak for themselves. 13-20. What a great player. http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?section=sc2-korean&type=players&id=222&part=games&league=standard

Best protoss over MC and Inca when they were in Code S? Gonna need a source on that. Makaprime/Byun is the current no.1 on ladder, please stop using this as a reason to say someone is awesome. Artosis thinks Nestea is the best player in the world and Sage is a top protoss...nuff said. Of course every player on liquid thinks he's good, they're all pretty mid tier guys, besides Ret and Zenio who are maybe low Code A. Yes Hero is good, yes he is innovative, but his play vs Koreans is pretty abyssmal and his hype is from pounding foreigners. He.is.not.on.the.level.of.these.code.s.guys.

MC was still in the house when HerO left, and MC was still considered to be the best Protoss in the world at that point, so I don't believe that at all. MakaPrime (with Byun/MKP sometimes on his account) is also Rank 1 in GM. Hell, almost all the hype surrounding Stephano is because he's doing well on ladder. He is a really good player, but seeing him as successful in Korea any time soon is blindly optimistic at best.

That doesn't mean that Artosis' opinion should be used as evidence for anything. He has a pretty bad record of predictions/knowledge, ranging from CLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE through to "the best Protoss, Sage", from Alicia to "MKP's Reaper TvT build" (which Boxer used in his 2 TvTs before...).

Fair enough. He jumps from X to Y to Z back to X to A,etc on who is the best by race/world, etc that it's hard to keep up.

It was JYP that knocked DRG out of code A that time. People are right in that HerO doesn't have good results against many Korean players, not even in pvz which is what he's supposed to be known for. However, I always feel like the potential is there with HerO, he just kind of defeats himself. In fact I feel like herO is going to make it out of the group even though past results don't agree with me. If I were going purely off of results I'd say it's going to be: MVP > DRG > MC. However, if I've learned anything from watching the GSL this long it's that things don't go as they should quite often. Today I go with the unlikely choice.

Q : Blizzcup starts tomorrow, you must have not been able to practice much - are you confident about winning it? A: After I go back to Seoul, I have to participate in BlizzCup straight away tomorrow. Blizzcup 2011 is suppose to be the tournament where they pick the best player of the year and that is the tournament that I must win. I have looked at the list of 10 other participants and they are all so strong. I am bit worried that I was not able to practice due to WCG but I still want to win. MVP interview
