Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.

And as always:
- No player bashing.
- No caster bashing.
- No balance whining.

Enjoy the games.

This Group is pretty much a coinflip with all these Bo1s. MVP + DRG should make it out alive while the rest will fight for the remaining playoff spot.

Stephano is 3rd highest ranked zerg in korean GM.
Stephano has 71% wr in gm while idra has 54.
That should be a pretty good clue to how ridiculously good Stephano actually is.

Ladder doesn't mean much, MVP is ranked what? Barely in the top 200 with a %54 winning percentage yet is the best player in the world.

To be fair to MVP, he does play random.

Because you can't defend proxy 11/11 when you hatch first?

Stephano goes speed first, and idra was too complacent because NA/EU terrans don't punish hatch first very often.

Oh ladder means a lot it just really means MVP is bad due to that low win %. Damn didn't realize it was so low what a nooby.

In honesty though I hate how much people are putting on ladder win rate. Stephano's good there is no doubt but ladder isn't a way to say "he's easily one of the best players in the world look at his korean domination". If he gets completely dominated today it won't surprise me but it also won't surprise me if he does advance. We shall see how he fares vs all these top tier koreans today .

I mean MVP/MC/Hero/DRG will be insanely hard and I think those 4 are better then stephano imo.

You can defend it but not when you gas before pool (which even then July held it but was to far behind because of that such delayed pool when hatch firsting). Not impossible and stop saying it is because you are wrong.
When I think of something else, something will go here

Stop deluding you self. Ofcourse ladder means something the top korean players spending hours and hours practising on the ladder. If ladder didnt mean nothing they would just play custom.

Just a fact before MMA and DRG got known they were a ladder beast with big win %. And in korea its actually very rare to see zergs with high win % on the korean GM

and he will continually be cheesed/all-inned because he doesn't put in enough practice to show that cheesing/all-inning against him isn't worth the risk

I'm pretty sure they do custom. Especially when practicing for a tournament. Otherwise you are just showing off your builds...

Sorry buddy I said it doesn't mean much, not that is doesn't mean anything. Learn to read. Judging a player based on where he is on the Korean ladder is silly. You have players who aren't that accomplished in the top 10 and have players like MVP/Nestea (could go on) who are no where near. Go by tournament results, Stephano has done pretty well but compare his accomplishments against the players in the Blizzard Cup and keep in mind foreign tournaments are much easier than Korean tournaments, that is a fact. Stephano is one of the best foreigners but he's going up against the best Koreans who are considered the best players in the world. I'd say Stephano is the worst player in his group I don't expect him to advance.

Generally, people who have insane win rates on ladder are usually the best players. Obviously they don't try their best on ladder but to get 70% on Korean server is ridiculously insane.

It's always funny to see someone make predictions who obviously doesn't follow the korean scene at all

Well, I do have tickets for last three GSLs bought and I watched every Code S/A VoD. I never missed KSL since it began. I am trying to watch as much of korean weeklies as I can. I think I am watching korean scene... And yeah, these predictions are a little bit biased but I think they are not THAT off. MVP losing to DRG (who is great vT) and Stephano in Bo1 is not that off. HerO winning PvZs is not that off either, MC will lose his PvZs for sure. Hero and MC in PvP, well, just look at recent records.... Hero will win. ZvZ and MC v MVP may go either way, thats just how I feel it will end...

You clearly don't have a clue because vP is MVP's worst matchup with vZ being almost as good as his vT. If MVP is going to lose it's going to be against MC/Hero, though he owned both of them at MLG Providence.

Then again DRG has had a ton of practice time and shit loads of VODs of MVP TvZ.
