NASL is like the last kid of the familly, no matter how good they will do (amazing casting team, nice production value, great games) they are always getting shit for not doing exactly like their brothers and sisters.

Thanks buddy, i appreciate the LR! Keep up the good work.

Thank you Seeker for those LR. It hurts my heart to see HerO lose.

You're welcome guys. Enjoy them!
And yes, my heart broke too when I saw HerO GG. But at the same time, since he already won in DH, I think it was only fair that PuMa grabbed this one

Do we know how many people were at the event each day?
|
It's hard to keep track of. I've read all from 30 to 300 in the first day. Maybe it will say in the recap that I assume will come eventually.

I have to say that this was better then expected, I did enjoy the final day quite a bit.
Good job on the live finals NASL, not a MLG or IPL yet but this was pretty good.
I do have some critisism regarding the regular season play: I didnt watch many games this season simply because it was a downgrade to me from season 1. Same problems still there and even escalated this time.
Im a high masters terran player in europe and I have to say when I watch games from big events like these I watch them for the entertainment foremost. Other then that I guess im interested to see what all the terran players come up with for these events. I do not watch these events for education and I think hardly anyone does. If I want to improve I will practice, or studdy a player, or listen to a expert like Day9. It is very counterproductive when a caster/host is trying to explain gametheory while im trying to enjoy the game. It ruins the experience alot! If you want a expert sidekick to your host then thats all cool, but make sure it is a expert and not just a ex. player that you assume has alot of insight. And note: beside the Host/Caster.
No, next season you need a host whos quality is to Cast the games, make them entertaining and colorful like a DjWHEAT, TotalBiscuit, CatsPajamas etc etc..
Also the production quality needs to be stepped up alot during season play. If you want us to keep watching the league games where no money is on the line for the single games people will be playing during that, then you need a GREAT production that binds us. We need a show with rock music, INTENSE action and colorful hosts bringing the show guys. We cant have this low pace production and staggard akward talk in between games.
A league of this magnitude really should not suffer this problem. Because yes, this feedback has been given a million times around the community and nothing happens. Until it does people will never enjoy NASL like they could, and should be able to.

Thanks man appreciate it! :D

The only way you get access is by purchasing a Season Pass

Korea doesn't tailor it's broadcasts for NA, does tailor it's broadcasts for EU, doesn't tailor it's broadcasts for anyone. Why does EU feel like they're the only group that has to watch stuff @ ridiculous hours?
GSL - 2:10 AM. Dreamhack - 5-6 AM(?) for Pacific NA.

NASL finals were pretty awesome in terms of the matches, but still a lot of other issue. I don't know what changed this year, but the production quality seemed really low. Last year it seemed basically professional, like there was a good looking desk and the finals looked like a real event. This year the desk looked really cheap, and a blue-screen effect behind the casters was very evident. At the finals it kind of just looked like a few dozen people gathered in some guys dimly-lit basement using a camcorder. The games of course looked fine, as the game itself is not affected by the environment. Day 9 and husky were awesome as usual. When Day 9 was talking to the crowd on Day 1, it had the same look as a scene in one of the those late-80's action movies where a drug deal is taking place in a dark, empty, haze-filled warehouse. Lag issues were present, however for reasons I can't explain, lag seemed to only happen when watching via nasl.tv, on twitch it seemed to be fine. Internet for me is 50mb/s, no its not my internet. I agree with those who say that having matches weeks ahead really mutes the excitement. One way to guarantee you will push away viewers, is to make them wait 3-4 weeks after a match to find out one player did not show up. Oh, and the red carpet was.......awkward.
On the good side, were the presence of Puma and Hero in the finals and the great matches they played. Also Orb is a really great caster. I have no doubt Gretorp is a great person, hard working, and has passion for the game/community etc. I think he is knowledgeable as well, but the fact is that he is not good at casting. It takes away from games to have him cast. I wonder if he could use his energies in some other role for NASL. I realize its disheartening to hear things like that, but its also honest. He just talks for the sake of talking sometimes, the turns of phrase he uses don't even make sense or relate to the game quite often. Vocabulary is poor, that is the main problem. Also please, please shave, you are on camera. A person can't be good at everything, I'm sure he's good at plenty of things, but casting is the only side we are aware of because its public. I will say Gretorb is still a step above the moletrap-diggity casting we endured last year 'shudder'.
Regarding timing, it ran quite late. Maybe delays account partly for this, I'm not sure. For people in Europe, obviously they can't accommodate the entire world's schedule. On the other hand, the timing made it challenging to watch for the largest portions of the north American viewing audience as well. I'm 1 time zone west of the east coast, and even then it is a sacrifice to stay up an watch, the cost being tiredness at work the next day. The enormous east coast population has that problem compounded. I think this was a mistake. Have the finals around 5 or 6 pm west coast time, and all of north America can comfortably watch. Europe also has an easier time. Put HoN in the afternoon. No hate to HoN, but nobody really cares about it.
For those of you pointing out GSL is at a terrible time, what you are forgetting is that GSL knows how to produce VOD's. NASL has a MAJOR struggle with this. You don't have to stay up until 4am to watch GSL. Within HOURS the vod's are available. Wake up, and fire one up. NASL sometimes takes WEEKS to get vods up. If you could wake up saturday morning and watch vods from Friday's games, all this time zone stuff would be irrelevant. But that is dreaming I think.

Because it is possible to broadcast at great times for US and still ok times for EU like MLG does, which obviously will give you a lot more viewers than just cutting of EU completley like they did with the finals.
They don't have to obviously, but it certainly would be in their best interest if they ever want to reach similiar viewer numbers like MLG or even Dreamhack.

We had a pretty solid turnout day 3 .... Saturday was okay , friday wasnt too grest , obviously ...

MLG Anaheim had probably the biggest/second biggest crowd of the year for MLG. Also don't forget the Blizzcon finals... Oklahoma City? Salt Lake City? What.
you could be right about that. i was just disappointed by the turnout.
