Must say forgg has looked way more impressive in code a than he did in the weekly tournament. In the weekly tournament, he looked good, but not really a stand out and showed some bad games. However, he's turned on the switch in gsl and looks like a completely different player and more dominant.

Thanks for adding that the thread. No possible shitstorm can possibly arise from this statement.
It was 1 GSL Champion, singular. Just to make that clear.
who would be surprised by it? those who don't really know about bw of course. do we really need to pander to the ignorant?
eventually more bw pros will switch over and these people will have to learn the truth. if they thought big but old names from bw didn't do well and thus bw is not all that special, they were wrong. and the sooner they correct that wrong impression the better.
modern bw competition is just insane, even relative to the old days. appreciate this level of skill seems to be the only way going forward.

I don't think people realize what statement people saying Brood War pros will switch over and dominate are trying to convey. It's not only the mechanics, it's the mindset. Current Brood War pros practice 12+ hours a day, sometimes just preparing certain builds for certain maps against certain opponents over and over. Compare that to the much more lax practice schedules we see from some top North American players, and even the Korean scene, and you have a recipe that basically says "Brood War pros will do better because they commit more." I think looking at TSL, already known as a team with a fairly strict practice schedule, taking the additional step and releasing the players that maybe didn't want to commit like that, and then starting to sign Brood War players is a good sign that TSL is planning for the long run, and not just this next GSL/MLG etc. The problem we have now is that pros currently are practicing very hard leading up to a big LAN, and then backing off afterwards, and then ramping back up before the NEXT big LAN. It's essential for players to sit down and practice hard EVERY day if they want to try and be the next Flash.

God forbid you spend an extra two seconds scrolling down the page more.
No, it is in fact annoying. I dislike it too.
Making an LR thread is not really that hard... just put the 2 players, the results and the recommendations in spoilers and put a liquipedia link. The rest is clutter and annoying to filter. At least the GSL threads have the bare minimum. Some, like NASL, don't put a liquipedia link or such and it's annoying.

in fact annoying? Pretty sure more than 50% will find it in fact hilarious.

Great OP Seeker, keep it up.
^^ Thank you.
As for the thread being annoying, I do have to say this:
I cannot satisfy everyone's needs, I apologize for that.
No matter what I do to the thread, there WILL be some of you who dislike it. But as far as I can see, ppl like it MORE than disliking it. Therefore I will keep the thread as it is.
However, I will take note of the complaints I've received and try to make sure it's not all cluttered up
Count me among those who find the OP format mildly annoying. I like the fun extraneous stuff as much as the next guy, but this was just way too much. Viewers are forced to scroll past no less than THREE separate polls before they even see who's actually playing. On my 1920x1200 screen, the first match doesn't appear until the 5th screen down. Also, there's also no quick summary that shows all results for all the day's matches. Instead, viewers have to individually click the spoilers for each and every match.
And perhaps the most annoying thing is the overall length of the post itself. It's 10 screens long. Whenever I try to look for the results for a specific match I'm following (i.e. Nada), it gets kind of tedious to hunt down that one match lost in a sea of 10 pages and gazillion polls.
OP clearly put soooo much effort in making the page. And while the effort is appreciated, he could've designed it to be more user-friendly.
I was about to complain about no LR on OP, but there they are! Very nice OP, making ti more fun and interactive. Maybe can add some spoiler tags for certain images polls, so the srs bsns ppl don't get mad . I still remember when in the open seasons, ppl forgot to make a thread and a "guy" made it randomly with ms paint and ppl complained, since then there has always been decent thread for GSL ^_^
