Hmm... having played both I'd say the way you have to think during a Quake 1v1 match is closer to chess than Starcraft is. You just have to try think about controlling the map, powerups, weapons and your opponents position by thinking as many steps ahead as possible. Though, I was much better at Quake than at SC so it might be that I just have to focus on what I'm doing right at the moment in SC because I'm bad at it :D | ||
