Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

both have good micro (naniwa the better) but those retarded strategies keep them down. gg I guess. Idra has more charisma than a palm tree, but Naniwa seems alot more driven so no I wouldn't say that at all. Idra has spent years in korea before while Naniwa is just getting his feet wet, I'd say idra has done more to show he's serious about pro gaming.

Naniwa is so misunderstood this tournament with the drama and all. And that people actually booed makes me sick. Sure chear for whoever you want but shit like booing is nothing but a dickmove.
He is going to be so angry with himself after this. Hope he is not to critical of himself and let it fuel his practice instrad.
Nani will be back, that's for sure. Plus he gets a Code S spot now, hope he takes it.

Ahh, someone who's never been to an MLG before wins the Grand Tournament. Well, I guess it shows how dumb the system is.
Anyway, congrats to Leenock, he played amazing and deserves to be champion.

Lol wad do ppl expect a player to do when he spots a greedy player? Double expo? Just go hyper aggressive n kill him for his greed before his economy kick in dammit

Whoa Leenock doesn't go to school? Was always under the impression that he did, thought they did say it on GSL a lot

He doesn't go to school? LOL

Lol, Leenock doesn't go to school. Mind = blown.

Leenock is exeptional in punishing greedy players. So, a 16 years old wins a major tournament utilizing cheesing(in the good way) against great players. That reminds of a certain someone. you dont need to hide the comparison people have made it already forever. comparison to whom?

Lol I didn't think he was school, but I was also convinced when people were saying he was. Lmfao.

People can complain all they want, but Leenock's fast roaches was the exact, and perhaps only thing, a zerg can do to punish Naniwa's build.
Exactly. I don't get why people call it cheese when what Leenock did was scout a weakness, counter it and deny any attempts by Naniwa to scout his counter.
If anything Naniwa was "cheesing", since he continued to do greedy builds.

I think you mean to say that Leenock Inca'd his way to a victory like Inca did vs Nada

As a spectator, I personally hated every single game Leenock played against NaNiWa. I understand "It's a tournament, he does what it takes to win" but watching a Roach Rushx3 +7pool series is NOT entertaining to me. I'm not a Leenock fan in the first place, and while I'm not a NaNiWa fan either, it sucks to see someone go down like this. I personally feel really bad for NaNiWa. He gets told by NesTea pre-game that he's going to crush him, after he already beat NesTea once, proceeds to pause for a confirmation on the map, and gets hated on. Wins the series, finally comes out of his shell a little on-stage, and gets vilified for it. I think this quote from Slasher says a lot: Show nested quote +@Slasher Rod Breslau Just spoke to Naniwa, he's sad the crowd boo'ed him, will bottle up his emotions till he wins the championship. Leenock wants a shot. #MLG NaNiWa has had people rooting against him from Day 1 of this event, and it just kept compounding. You could see on stage after he became the villain of the weekend, he kept his words and emotion to a minimum, and to hear the crowd being against you every game can really hurt your mentality. Congratulations to Leenock for winning MLG Providence 2011, he came from the Open Bracket and did the seemingly impossible. I'm personally hugely disappointed in the MLG Providence audience as a whole, and the ESPORTS community for their NaNiWa hate this weekend. Leenock outplayed NaNiWa in the finals, that's a given, but the play was not inspiring or exciting for anyone who isn't a Leenock fan. NaNiWa accomplished something no foreigner has ever done, or was expected to do this weekend, and got nothing but vilified for it. Good luck in the Blizzard Cup to both players, best of luck to NaNiWa in Code S next season. aLive better crush Leenock this season. + Show Spoiler +
Very nice #2k. My hat off for you. I don't want to see Leenock crushed, but other than that i agree with everything.

What else do you do against protoss Forge FE? Just let him have it? You have to be like that in the early game to punish it severely. Taking a fast third also works very well against FFE- we've seen plenty of zergs win like that. FFE in PvZ is as standard as hatch first in ZvT. I don't know why people are suddenly up in arms and complaining that it's insanely greedy. It's more the only 1 cannon thing as opposed the FFE itself though

I don't remember if the timing was quite there, but what about mma?
