Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

I hope Naniwa takes the next game, I want/need to go bed. MLG is too tiring for European stream viewers! #firstworldproblems

Personally, I am cheering for Leenock. It's his first MLG appearance and I think he's had quite a trial coming through the open bracket. Just because I'm cheering for Leenock doesn't mean I'm cheering against Nani.
Also, I would like to see a macro game. Hopefully Leenock can survive Nani's insanely powerful 2base timing attacks.

maybe people are finally getting over the korea vs the world mentality and maaaaybe the just like Leenock more?

Exactly. Cheering for someone just because they're a foreigner or korean is dumb. Plus Leenock is like what, 16 or 17. Kid has so much potential.

is this bo5 or bo7?

It's a double elimination tournament, so Naniwa as the undefeated player only has to win this Bo3.

If Leenock wins this Bo3, it turns into a Bo7 with the score from the first Bo3 counting.

i.e. if Leenock wins the next game, they will play again, with the score starting at 2-1 in Leenock's favor.

oh wow, okay that really clears it up for me. I was under the impression that it would be another bo3. That seems more fair thanks!

That dont seem fair at all. Naniwa and Leenock have not played before so I dont see why It cant just be a normal bo5 match.

yeah... I don't understand it! Usually everyone cheers for the foreigner!

Could be bc naniwa is really awkward on stage and has that serial killer look to him imo

Lol .. small steps in the right direction

You can't argue that his early game stability and control is absolutely amazing; you cannot rush him. Ever.

He held a FFE on XNC against Nestea; that shit is insane!

You cannot rush him EVER ? So what did Leenock just do ?

...

Lol fail rushed him?

Let him back into the game?

If nani bothered to scout the third; easy win, no doubt.

This. NOONE deserves it anywhere close... Last months on all I hear is how Nestea nd MVP are the best in the world. Naniwa plays them both many times in 3 days and more top koreans + Huk on top of that and absolutely crushes.

Noone is anywhere near to that dominance this tournament. Can anyone say I'm wrong?

Lol he played like 3 matches this tournament....

I guess you're counting the Global Invitational on Friday too but still...

He only played 3 series because he played at ALL the mlgs except 1 and he still placed 3rd overall. He deserves his spot and less matches due to how well he played this season.

But just looking at performances this tourney Leenock has been impressing more. Can't argue that Nani deserves a high seed, but Leenock making it through open and crushing everyone in championship is more amazing than the guy who got seeded in and so only had to win 4 matches.

the MLGSC2Scores thing says haypro beat Idra in the 7th/8th place match, and it says he won by DQ, is that disconnect? Idra rage quit?

So pathetic whine. Are you really so dense that you use this as an argument for hate?

Heh, Nani's late game isn't as strong as his early-mid. Playing 2 base is a very clever decision. As Infernal pointed out, if he knew about that third then he would have won the last game.

well to his credit getting and holding a 3rd base against zerg is very hard on most maps (lately) and against such aggression impossible.

He made 1 vs Leenock on Shakuras. I'm pretty sure he made one against Nestea, although I can't remember (the Tal'Darim game in the Global Invitational). He made one on Terminus also.

This hate on 2-basing is stupid. Protoss can't take a 3rd comfortably without putting some heavy 2 base pressure.

You forget that this is a season final, and Naniwa did go 20+ at the MLG he won. There has to be some advantage from doing good over the season.

Besides that, Leenock is SUPER impressive. So scary to think of how good he can be in 1 year from now.

Only thing I know is that I know nothing.

If he was just a bit more mannered, people would support him a lot more I guess. And he doesn't BM like Idra, who QQ's a lot about zerg, randomly rage quits without GG and such, he wins the match and starts bashing a player like nestea, really uncool.

if doing thumbs downing someone who was "going to smash him," constitutes bashing, then I'm sure what kinds of fans he's missing out on

To be fair, he did basically insult his entire team (who are paying for his residence in Korea) by saying all he wanted was better practice partners...
