Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

say what you will about naniwa's skill (he's good), but the winners bracket is pretty favoured. Yup of course it is. In fact both Naniwa and Leenock came from the Winners Bracket!! I think you meant Championship bracket / Open bracket =) I think you guiz forgot to add the number of games that Naniwa had to win in other mlg's to get to his position in the first place. so in reality naniwa played WAY more games than leenock to get in such a favorable position. I think it's just most people think that the placement is too deep in the tournament.
Especially if you consider how weak the mlg payouts are in all their other tournaments.

I'm pretty sure he made one against Nestea, although I can't remember (the Tal'Darim game in the Global Invitational). He made one on Terminus also.
This hate on 2-basing is stupid. Protoss can't take a 3rd comfortably without putting some heavy 2 base pressure.

leenock clawing for his life. gonna love this kid

Naniwa plays them both many times in 3 days and more top koreans + Huk on top of that and absolutely crushes. Noone is anywhere near to that dominance this tournament. Can anyone say I'm wrong? I would say Leenock probably deserves it a little more. Other than the 0-2 to DRG, he has beaten every single opponent before him. Sure Nani has done the same, but the number of games played is just vastly different. But is it always a bad thing? Leenock is 16 years old... He is nervous... Many games ---> less nerous And Naniwa himself said that he gets better and better the longer he is in the tournament, can´t it be so for most people? Achievement wise that means Leenock is better. It's not about the mental game, you were talking about who deserves it more. The guy who beat more players>the guy who beat less.

curiously, didn't naniwa lose on tal'darim in both series vs nestea this weekend as well ?

If he was just a bit more mannered, people would support him a lot more I guess. And he doesn't BM like Idra, who QQ's a lot about zerg, randomly rage quits without GG and such, he wins the match and starts bashing a player like nestea, really uncool. I think you should inform yourself a bit more on the subject before making a statement like that.

Leenock is cuter

Lol he played like 3 matches this tournament.... I guess you're counting the Global Invitational on Friday too but still... He only played 3 series because he played at ALL the mlgs except 1 and he still placed 3rd overall. He deserves his spot and less matches due to how well he played this season.

That's about it really. His run is more impressive IMO, especially that 4-1 just now.
Yup and his play has been close to flawless.
Today he's been ripping everyone apart.

Usually everyone cheers for the foreigner!
After all the entertaining games Leenock has shown, how can the crowd not support Leenock?

I've noticed that too, and it's super easy to hate Naniwa's pvz games because of it. That said, yeah, no wonder he does it given how incredibly OP he makes that protoss ball look by retaining units

Are you really so dense that you use this as an argument for hate? Heh, Nani's late game isn't as strong as his early-mid. Playing 2 base is a very clever decision. As Infernal pointed out, if he knew about that third then he would have won the last game.

You cannot rush him EVER ? So what did Leenock just do ?
