Since there's no other place to comment on code a qualifiers, who else is really looking forward to the announcer saying "oGs.Vines"?

I actually think MC will beat Ryung and MMA, but lose to YuGiOh. But only time will tell.

That's very interesting.... So it's basically all 1 big tournament now, Code S and Code A being 1 tournament instead of 2 tournaments, but the tip top Code S players are still held above Code A ;D

Looks pretty sweet!

Well link it, will ya <_<

JYP sounds like a good opponent for SaSe because I think he has confidence in his mirror matchup..

Nooo sage vs forgg? I want them both to advance! Also looks like jyp is out because everytime I see him play pvp he makes silly decisions and loses. Hopefully boxer wins! I expect lucky to take out naniwa again like last code a.

Naniwa vs. Lucky again?

Rofl, guy can't catch a break in PvZ. But he did take a game off NesTea, so ...

Wow these are some crazy groups. G is the only one that doesn't really stand out to me, not that there is nothing to say about those players though.

Sase has pretty good PvP at least against nonkoreans.

I would have liked bo3 for code s groups as well, but logistically it's really hard to do. With 5 bo3s per group, you can get a max of 15 games per group. Now even if they did 2 groups per day, one afternoon and one at night, that's a max of 30 gamers per day.

A possible 30 games per day would take forever to play! To put it in perspective, IPL 3 did 2 groups per day and with their format they played 12 bo3 per day for a max of 36 games. However, I believe their schedule was 10am-11pm those days. I don't think gom wants to broadcast all day like that.

Mr. Chae says they're looking into bo3 code s for next year, but I still think that would be hard to do because a possible 15 games per group takes forever!!! They would have to make it so there would be only 1 group per day, and probably bump time slot up by 2 hours to allow for a max of 15 games per day. They would need 4 more days for code s groups, which I guess is doable. Will be interesting to see what they decide next year.

They do have Thursday and Friday wide open with the format they're using now, so it's totally do-able.

John the translator said that round of 32 was Bo3 for group stages, was that retracted later on? I didn't watch the last round of picks.

The best part of the new format is Bo3 everything. Players who are playing terribly will not be able to keep code S through skin of their teeth by cheesing in 1 Bo1.

Wrong. Rd32 of Code S is still bo1 group stage. All of code A is bo3. GOM might switch Code S group stage to bo3 next year if they can get the scheduling thing figured out.

There's no monsters in Huk's group but it's also pretty evenly good. I hope July is as easy to beat as he said. Clide might be pretty tough though.
