I think there is a big different between ESL and MLG. ESL seems to try to promote eSports as a whole (they even told their viewers to tune into MLG later on IEM NY Stream today) and grow with the scene and MLG seems to be trying to grow more recklessly. I like MLG, but I really prefer ESL. Everything seems to be more personal, more relaxed at their events. Just look at the casters wearing suits, the corporate design carpet bombin, their corp. design in the first place... To me they are just trying a bit too hard to look like NFL, NBA, MLB well that corporate design is probably necessary to reach the normal viewer in the US. Who knows. If that broadens their audience it will eventually help the whole electronic sports movement. | ||
