The Military Academy at West Point will face the Naval Academy and extend their rivalries into a new frontier - ESPORTS. The three service academies in the U.S. are tied together in a football rivalry where they compete for the prestigious "Commander in Chief" Trophy. MIDN Tim McDaniel explains: "The CiC Trophy goes to either one of the three service academies (Navy, Army, Air Force) during the football season, whichever school defeats the other two. The President then presents the trophy to that school. Seeing as all the service academies were within the CSL I thought it'd be nifty if we tracked how the service academies did against one another in a similar fashion. University of Iowa vs. Iowa State University LIVE Lineup: http://www.cstarleague.com/league/matches/563 Another longstanding rivalry in athletics takes new strides in StarCraft 2. The University of Iowa and Iowa State are archrivals who traditionally compete in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series, which envelops almost every major athletic department of both schools. Though the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series doesn't include StarCraft 2 (yet), years of historical rivalry will now be brought to the battlefields of Antiga Shipyard, Xel Naga, Scorched Haven, and Daybreak! University of Iowa is a new school in the CSL, and lost their football game to Iowa State. Iowa State is a veteran school of the CSL, and will definitely put up a challenge for U. Iowa who strive to earn bragging rights as they attempt to take victory this Sunday. Football? This is ESPORTS! UCR and Cal Poly Pomona are both undefeated this season and are both powerhouse CSL schools from Southern California. UCR pulled an amazing, and almost upsetting win over UCI during the first game of a season taking a 3:1 victory, and again establishes itself as the dominant UC school by pulling another 3:1 against veteran school UC San Diego. Cal Poly Pomona also 3:0'd UC San Diego and 3:1'd their sister school California PolySan Luis Obispo. The games promise to be nothing short of epic, and will be definitely worth watching if you really want to see the top talent of the CSL and California! Winner of this series will be first place in one of the toughest division in CSL. Casted by TBA Stanford vs. Berkeley Lineup: http://www.cstarleague.com/league/matches/970 Again, another athletic rivalry that has been extended to StarCraft 2 in the past CSL Seasons. Berkeley is a CSL veteran as well as past Brood War season champion, while Stanford impressed everyone in their division last season by miraculously increasing their skill level over night to beat out top schools. However, UC Santa Cruz pulled an upset last week by taking down Stanford 3:1 in a convincing fashion. Berkeley is also undefeated in Season 5, without even dropping a set as their record indicates clean 3:0 victories for the past 4 rounds. Will Stanford return to form in time to pose a challenge to their long time rival and powerhouse UC Berkeley?
