Painuser is just not playing too much (more casting). But you whould have thought that hours of training in EG.Lair would make you a good player. Well, Incontrol and Axslav are a proof that you not everyone could be good at this game.

You are aware that Axslav qualified for this tournament. He was not some random invite. While he may not be one of the top protosses he is not a scrub

http://www.nationalesl.com/us/sc2/go4sc2/newyork3/rankings

He beat ViBe and lost to TT1 in the finals. He qualified, but it wasn't the most impressive run if you look at the brackets.

Not to take anything away from him though, it's not his fault, the tournament wasn't that stacked.

painuser mostly casts now (correct me if I'm wrong). and just a wild guess but I'm guessing Axslav/incontrol don't practice as much as other top foreigners and this is why their results aren't very good. I could 100% be wrong, but this is usually the case (as seen in school/studying, and other sports)

Axslav and Incontrol live and practice full time in the EG house...

Painuser still plays a little but is predominantly casting for IGN, he did make a pretty respectable run in the MLG open bracket last time out before getting crushed by HerO

Source with their practice hours?

it has been stated many times on throgh Various show ITG/SOTG. they pratice 11am-3pm then have a break then 4 more hours couple hours later

What is up with the casual LoL hate in the OP?

If you really don't like "easy" games then take it all the way and hate on SC2 for not being BW. What a fucking joke.

Still the LoL fans can be even heard on SC2 stream.

7 overlords.

Sad that a player like FD has to be that worried about being supply blocked.

If you had bothered looking at the supply you would have noticed he wasn't worried about it at all. He got it so he could be prepared to start making drops. Please don't make ignorant comments.

Okay, I should have realized he was doing it for drops. But if you had bother to look, you would have realized he was supply block twice that game.

And when did I say he wasn't? You said he had made 7 overlords because he was worried about being supply blocked and I corrected you because you were wrong. That had nothing to do with the rest of the game.

Of course it could.

Explain how YOU being wrong about him making 7 overlords for drops and not because of being afraid of supply blocks affected THEIR game?

Settle down there, pal. I was commenting on your comment about FD not being worried on being supply blocked.

As you already admitted, you were wrong about him being worried about being supply blocked and making 7 overlords as a reaction. You were wrong and so of course it didn't affect his game.

honestly, i cant believe this guy training 8-12 hours per day (according to incontrol) for last like 3 monthes? surronded by really skilled players like demuslim, idra, puma and still playing like this. He totaly changed my mind about "hard training > all" theory.

Inc has stated multiple times on sotg and inside the game they practice around 8 hours daily.

Okay. Perhaps they don't practice as methodically and are not practicing the "right" things. For example I know plenty of people that study hard in school but focus on unnecessary things and waste time because of it. This could also be the case.

about APM im LoL / HoN / Dota: 85% of your APM goes into just spamming rightclick, as you only have ONE unit to control.
Also, SC2 doesn't show your APM (which should be actions per sc2 minutes tbh) anymore.

It usually isn't the amount of hours put in, which I guess on the NA ladder after a certain point you can only get so good. The quality of practice aside from Idra and Demuslim in the EG house probably isn't nearly as fearsome as the EU/KR players. So it could just be Axslav vs Strifecro 8 hours worth of practice, which doesn't sound nearly as impressive.

11:33 AM: LoL players behind us continue to cheer, even more depressing. One of them was bragging about having 50 apm. Elfi vs Edge and Pokebunny vs TT1 both at 1-1 currently.

The casters say completely different, so what's correct?^^

Hopefully one that can't be applied to a player too often.

Anyways, Edge 2-0 elfi, what a messed up tournament.
