I would consider 2 port banshee vs Zerg a cheese. Timing attack: Utilizes a timing where you have an advantage or at least a window to do damage based off a point where your units are very strong or your opponent is very weak. Should do a lot of damage, but you also shouldn't lose if it doesn't cripple them or kill them. I would consider 6 gate vs 2 base muta a timing for Protoss. All in: If it doesn't cripple or kill your opponent you should lose. It doesn't necessarily have to go unscouted to work. Many 111 variations vs toss are true in this way and I would consider many of the two base blink stalker pushes vs zerg to also be all in. BO loss: Your build puts you at a disadvantage that puts you at a big disadvantage. Mirror matchups tend to be good examples of this. As a Protoss player I would say 4gate is a build order loss against 3gate robo now. Additionally I have a theory that a lot of all ins become cheese as people learn the most efficient way to stop them (Or at least ways with high chances for success).

That's probably why he cheesed in the first game. I think MVP did the same exact build (3 rax allin with calldown supply) vs HuK in the AOL. Yeh but my point was: MVP knows ganzi is very cheesy in TvT, so he can't risk going early expand every game. By opening the series with a cheese he forces ganzi to think twice before cheesing him. Sorry about that, my post was more of a response to the post you quoted. I do agree with you. I think it is necessary to mix in cheeses into your play, so they can't cut corners, take bo advantages etc. You can see the results in the 2nd game. MVP opens 1 rax expand while ganzi opens CC first because he won the cheese game. No way in hell is MVP gonna risk 2 games in a row when he's down 0-1 with a cheese/all in opening while ganzi can.
