1. Hero ( on fire at the moment, would be surprised if he went 4-0) 2. Stephano (this will be the pick that gets the hate, watch his stream, even though it is ladder, he is rolling korean gm's EZ, Best play i've seen from him so far) 3. MC (Boss toss getting back his form, between him and mvp for 3rd i feel) 4. MVP(I'm not denying that he is the best sc2 player we have seen so far, but recent performances In MLG and GSL NOV have not showed this, would be surprised if he did go 4-0, but also wouldn't be if he crashes out in the groups, also dont know if he will try his hardest considering that it is the last tourny of the year.) 5. DRG ( I don't know about DRG, if he plays his best he MAY squeeze through, if not, can't see him progressing.)
Pool2:
1. MMA (my pick to win the whole thing, he has everything, can only see mabye MVP on top form taking him out) 2. MKP (hopefully ) 3.Leenock, really showed great play recently, think he can carry it on into this tournament. 4. Nestea (If he is up for it, i think he will win the whole thing, if not, can't see him getting past the groups.) 5. naniwa (showed some great play recently, but i dont think he will be that bothered about this)

1) MVP ( i m a huge fan of MVP and i think that he has the guts and the experience to pull 1 place in his group ) 2) Hero ( i was really not sure either i pu him or the next one on spot 2 but Hero is on fire right now 3) Stephano ( wasn't sure to put him so high, but after watching his stream on Korean ladder and seeing him own Koreans GM players like they are master EU i hope he will do good here ) 4) MC ( Boss toss, MC has always been solid ) 5) DRG ( i feel DRG is a up and coming zerg, sometimes very convincing sometimes not so much )
1) MMA ( Well, it's MMA one of the best terrans in the world, always very solid with a good atitude and good coaching ) 2) Leenock ( Leenock impressed me so much at providence that i expect him to do greatly the next 2 month ) 3) Nestea ( Nestea is a great player overall, but a bit sloppy right now 4) MKP ( I don't see MKP doing so greatly for quite a time so i don't think he will go far ) 5) Naniwa ( Nani is a good player but i think that he made one good run at MLG and.. that's all )
Naniwa and Stephano are clearly the underdogs but i don't see them performing that well :/
Who is going to cast the blizzard cup ?
Naniwa's probably out for revenge on Leenock. Unfortunately, Leenock doesn't give a single fuck and will roll him.
Hoping that MKP gets in and makes it out of group stages. MKP vs. Mvp for finals with MKP winning please!
Also, MKP has been doing magnificently. It's simply that he keeps bumping into Mvp, who has beaten him every time they've met on the stage. As I was saying, hopefully he figures it out and comes out on top.
naniwa vs leenok in the finals where naniwa wins and gets his revenge just like puma did vs hero gogo
NASL S2 was a way, way bigger deal than IEM NYC not that DongRaeGu doesn't deserve to be there, but that wasn't a high tier event
Hero is dominating foreign players, not koreans. Same with Stephano. How you guys are putting them above Code S players is honestly mind boggling. (I can understand>DRG, MKP and mayyyyybe Nestea, but lol@over MVP...)

If hes in this, he's in it to win. No question about that. Thats some scary players he will be faceing though, i can see anyone of these guys take this.

He just lost again in Code A to even asd and you think he's going to beat MVP? Not to mention MC who also got the best of Hero in their meeting at Orlando.

IMNesTea SlayerS_MMA coL.NaNiWa FXOLeenock ???? Nestea must hate his group, or love depending on how he views revenge. MMA has bested Professer Tea a few times, NaNiWa beat him twice at Providence, and Leenock is the new rising Zerg King that could potentionally defeat Nestea at his best matchup.
Each group is really hard to call though. I'm not feeling HerO chances and Stephano has had moments of weakness. One thing is for certain on group one - MC will get everyone riled up by how good his play is, then promptly lose a key match, and MVP will look like he'll lose everything and will still somehow end up as the first place finisher in his group.

According to today's GSL Code A interview with oGsMC, it will be BO1 format, so that introduces a great volatility and a much bigger chance for upsets. I can't say I like it very much, but it might have been too many games otherwise.
Whatever, I'd have liked the qualified players to duke it out in a bit more games after working so hard for the entire year. It would have been a bit more chances to prove yourself among the best of the best.
I already knew it was BO1 when they decided to do the groups, 1 in each day... but come on, it is a dissapointment.
They should have extended this tournament alot more, do atleast 2 days per group and bo3, the prizemoney isn't a AoL filler time.
This should have been alot better organized and a better experience for the viewers, BO1 with 10 players in a tournament is just BAD! Horrible format.
They could have invited 12 players instead of 10, (NASL + ESWC was big enough to warrant that (or extend more GSL slots)), and do 4 groups of 4, then 1 group per day, BO3 round robin. That would be a good format. this guys dont learn that BO1 in a 32 player is bad enough that they shouldn't do it, even worse in a shorter tournament, or, cant they see that?
a bo1 format really ? wow! it will show nothing of the players skills.
Why is MKP being listed in the WCG spot? Isn't WCG not over until the day before Blizzard Cup?
Also, does anyone know where to watch the GomTV ad for the Blizzard Cup?
Some1 tell me how do you make a playofff out of 6 players!
Oh and bo1 is such a total nonsense. Lets determine the best alliner of 2011 Blizzardcup!!!

- 10 players will be divided in 2 groups of 5 - The 3 top players of each group advance to the playoffs. - Group A 1st vs (Group A 3rd vs Group B 2nd) - Group B 1st vs (Group B 3rd vs Group A 2nd)
Bo1? Very disapointed by that. Not like it take that much longer doing bo3. Bo1 way to luck dependent
