With all of Naniwa's major wins apart from Dallas (which had 0 Koreans) occurring in 1 weekend only, it feels like he's just in there to get some foreign fans interested and also for extra Protoss love. Naniwa wasn't invited, GSL said the top two of providence would get in the Blizzard Cup, if the top two were all korean, they would be the ones there, so in my mind, Naniwa deserved his spot. IF they want to invite another foreigner because of all the fan base, I guess they will invite either Huk or Idra (Huk has been in GSL for a long time, won DreamHack Summer, MLG Orlando and Idra won the IEM China and got high on all the MLG's)

It's the culmination of the entire year for the GSL. 10 players, all champions of major tournaments (only Naniwa is questionable. Naniwa was 2nd at providence, won MLG Dallas AND won the MLG Global Invitational (against MVP and Nestea in the final rounds). I think it is fine having him there. Regardless, they said the top 2 of Providence would get a spot before the tournament even started, so it was earned.

I hope it isn't Polt. I know he won the super tournament but relative to other top GSL players he isn't really that good.

Polt's great and all but he can't seem to keep up with the very tippy top of the Terrans (or goswser, haha).

Would be much more amusing to see NASL Champion PuMa compete in the Blizzard cup instead of the MLG Providence runner up. (GSL Is not counted because its a monthly event, and theyve had the same winners basically every run so far except for October/November). Just saying.

Pool1: 1. MVP 2. DRG 3. Hero 4. Stephano (i don't want to put him last this is cruel TT, and i think he'll win at least one bo3 ) 5. MC (coz must be a last :'( Pool2: 1. MMA 2. Leenock 3. Nestea (hard to place but he didn't perform well lately but he still has a great ZvZ and since it's between Leencock and him idk...) 4. Winner of WCG, MKP or Supernova 5. Naniwa because i think his builds will be analyzed, especially PvZ where he didn't show a great versatility (and i'm not fan of his BM attitude at all ![]()

What? And MarineKing can? Polt deserves his spot in the Blizz Cup if MVP wins. He has routinely beat some of the top players in GSL, won a championship and made a semifinals. Shit, he did fall to Code A, but he lost a game he should have against Ganzi and split two games against the best ZvT'er in the world. Then he got to play ForGG. Only person I would be okay going in front of Polt would be Jjakji since he, you know, just won GSL. If MVP wins WCG, just have Polt, Jjakji, Puma and the runner up of WCG do a tournament before Blizzard Cup to see who gets the spot.

If Mvp wins WCG 1. Jjakji (Code S winner) 2. Puma (NASL 2 winner) 3. WCG Runner up 4. Polt (5th place GSL ranking) If you compare the other tournaments listed, this should be the right priority; to challenge recent winners up with top ranked GSL players. Anything else would be unfair imo. I don't think inviting MMA was the right choise.

MMA was certainly the next most qualified individual to pick, having won GSL October, coming 2nd in the Super Tournament, winning MLG Columbus and 2nd at MLG Anaheim, as well as leading Slayers to GSTL titles earlier this year (2 MVP Gold Card Awards there). Jjakji is very good, and his recent GSL win was amazing, but now we are overhyping him just as much as we overhype everyone else. Puma is very good player, but as a Korean terran he cannot compare to players like MVP or MMA. Polt is good, and had a really great series of tournaments over the summer, but now has fallen off.

Yea, but how they've chosen the picks, from huge international tournaments, Hero, DRG, Naniwa or Stephano cant be compared either to the competition they've faced in their tourneys, with the lack of so many highly ranked Koreans. (exception maybe Naniwa, but he also had less matches to play than Nestea & Mvp during Providence)
