I would never imagine that he would win that game after being late with 3rd, down in supply and losing all sentries for nothing.
But the thing is that MKP will go MMM in the third game and probably take the win easily.

Btw, the bad thing about mech is the MOBILITY. A big mech army should beat about every army that Protoss can think of. If a Mech Terran loses in a straight up fight, it's not because mech is bad...

mech ghost is almost impossible to break for toss.

30 hellions 20 tanks some thors some ghosts - how will u break this without air? and vikings counter all P air :D


€: the problem is mobility, its not "weak" in fights at all

Grubby was actually expecting Ghosts out, which is why he got Templar + Archon out. But MKP doesn't like ghosts. Stephano had 8+ Infestors, when MKP was mostly in Marines & Tanks, and he didn't toss down a Ghost Academy.

Obviously, the lack of Stim working on Ghosts offends MKP.

It's entirely possible, while there is a 4k prize difference between 3rd and 4th place I wouldn't put it past him to risk trying mech again to prove it can be done. That game made me sad though like at mlg where he randomly decided to mech vs Idra and his play was so awkward.

Why would you go archons vs ghosts? :p

Pretty sure the HT were for feedbacking thors in case MKP goes for many of them+strike cannon

There's a number of fundamental problems with mech honestly outside of mobility. In TvP its that Immortals basically roll face over mech once Protoss amass a sufficient number of them (and that is usually when Terran moves out with a decent tank army). In TvZ there is a notable lack of anti-air to deal with mutalisks, since magic boxing over Thors is the saddest thing ever for mech users.

Only real time mech ever works is in TvT. Supplementing mech with ravens in TvT works splendidly against bio play that focuses around heavy marauders. Of course I could be wrong, but this is based off of my observations from the many sadly failed mech games.
