Tough Luck, Dimaga 2-0'd JYP, didn't deserve top spot in his group

I am under the impression the brackets were semi-randomly formed. So the brackets were just bad luck.

Brackets are completely random.

You've got your four #1 seeds from the groups: Puma, Dima, Elfi, Revival

They each draw a number:
1, 2, 3, 4

This gives them their place in the bracket

Then you've got your four #2 seeds: Idra, Jyp, Strelok, Hasu

They each draw a number:
1, 2, 3, 4

This tells them who they play against

Or, at least, it's something like that.

edit: I forgot the part where players can't be bracketed against someone from their group initially.

Saying Korean vs Non-Korean is not a high-skill final is just dumb.

Dimaga, the only guy to ever win against Nestea in a televised match, the guy who won Assembly (which Nada attended), and undoubtedly one of the best Zerg players in the world, Korean or otherwise, is every bit as capable of winning this tournament as Puma.

I would be much more excited to see Dima vs Puma than JYP or Revival vs Puma in the final.
(of course, I'm both foreigner biased, and Zerg biased, but still)

I think the foreigner community needs a win, and with this lineup, they've got a helluva shot at one.

Are you sure? Looks to me as though Group A's are playing Group B's and Group C's are playing Group D's, could still be luck though I guess

Agree though, Dimaga has a good shot, I would enjoy seeing him take on Revival ZvZ, i'd back him for sure!

The Quarter Finals brackets are so good it's almost as if they'd been rigged to make everyone happier. A really nice mix of races.. The only thing missing is a ZvT but that's likely to happen in the Semifinals and the Final, so it's okay. We've two top Koreans facing each other and Idra vs another Korean, which is always a treat; a potential EG vs EG Semifinal; and one of the top Europeans is guaranteed to play in the Final, either vs a Korean or a boss-mode Idra coming through after eliminating Koreans in the Quarter and Semifinal. Strelok and elfi are in really good form, Dimaga is always amazing at LANs and won Assembly Summer in style. Hasu hasn't been that impressive in SC2 but he has a lot of experience and is by no means someone to write off. He played very well in TSL3 and NASL S1 and is an important community figure in Germany, so I'm sure a lot of people are cheering for him.

I guess its possible that I'm wrong, but I'm 99% certain that its a random drawing.

IMO the track record of the players plus the fact that Dimaga won 2-0 over JYP should make Dimaga vs Puma the "dream final".

The only thing I'm not happy about with the bracket is that Elfi has to go through Dimaga to get to play koreans again. EUvKR is my favorite matchup.

I really dont understand the guys that say unless it is an all Korean final then it is less skill level... jeese guys have faith in our players. Dimaga and Elfi both easily topped there groups and have yet to drop a game... this is versus the Korean invites also.

4 European qualifiers and all 4 made it to the Quarter final... thats awesome.

Korean fanboys will always, I mean always, find an excuse to why a foreigner beating a korean was not impressive or "legit". Lag, jet-lag, online.. you name it.

It was a random drawing based on mentioned criterias, made in front of the players.

Thanks for the explanation. I did not say it would not be a high skill final I said it wouldn't be the highest skill final. I think it is pretty safe to say that the korean scene is the most skilled scene. JYP, Puma, and to a slightly lesser extent Revival are very strong players who I feel would give the highest skill final. Also, I am someone who roots for the korean players over 99% of international players so I am more interested in watching korean players. You I know are very foreigner friendly so it is just a difference in preference.

Dimaga 2-0 JYP, why wouldn't Dimaga vs Puma be a more skilled final? Also, now you'll get to see Puma vs JYP anyway and the winner of that vs Revival. I the bracket was setup with foreigner vs Korean in every round then you wouldn't get to see all the Koreans face off vs eachother.

Really looking forward to Dimaga's play. This is coming from me (hugest GSL / Kr fanboy). Dimaga has got all the skillset to mix it with the S-class GSL boys. JYP did play terribly by JYP's standards against Dimaga, but we will see if JYP can recover from jet-lag / tournament fright, and play out some of that Kr pride.

Revival looked quite boss-like so far anyhow. Puma is Puma

Jet-lag? Really? JYP flew from Korea to China while Dimaga flew from Ukraine to China ^__^ Who do you think was the most jet-lagged?

Not a big fan of all the koreans on one side of the bracket. I want an all korean finals. Those are the highest skill finals.

Just because the Korean scene is stronger, it doesn't mean that every Korean player is better than every European player.

Judging from the results a Dimaga vs Puma finals would be a more skilled final than Puma vs JYP.

So who honestly thought everyone in Group C would go 1-2 except elfi who 3-0ed? Be truthful.
