I checked some reps of IdrA on Shakuras to see if he scouted that spot with overlord, or if he early drone scouted... Both which he didnt, so I decided to do that build. Its 12/14 so its not at all allin anyway.
I dont feel comfortable playing IdrA in a long game yet...

In terms of outright wins maybe, but you have to keep in mind how much more relevant IdrA has been in the last..... I dont know, 6 months maybe? Basically I went through a really long period where I've just lost early almost every tournament, and not even felt confident enough to want to play in teamleagues.
IdrA on the other hand has consistently made it far in MLGs, and is the perennial EG ace in teamleagues... I think its mostly a deserved difference in attention.

I have a couple theories about idra. I think he's got one, maybe two games per series in him, during which he can play completely flawlessly and look absolutely invincible (see Idra vs Jinro game 1). Second, I think that there are two people that play Starcraft 2 in the guise of Greg "Idra" Fields. There's Idra, who has posted top GSL finishes, a host of tournament wins and stomps noobs left and right, and there's Greg, who loses to dumb cheese in the first 5 minutes, never ggs, claims imbalance, and generally is a big ragey ball of hate. Idra can only play a couple games, but Greg...Greg can play a lot of games.

People keep talking about Idra because he keeps on qualifying for tournaments or receiving invites. He is one of the most active foreigners in the tournament scene so people have a lot more opportunities to call him bad when he wins and call him terrible when he loses.

I still think you could take him in a long game if you just went more marine heavy then you would vs most zergs since he favors a lot more mutas and heavy marine styles just seem to destroy him in TvZ.
