As has been said earlier in the thread IM coach has done some peculiar decisions earlier in the league and MVP is not a team to take lightly.

Also IM won the first team league and took 2nd in the second one so there was certainly pressure on them to make it top two again. Although everyone played a little wonky during the regular season playoffs are pretty serious, everyone definitely did their best , hell IMmvp did the 111 which he hates to try and secure a win.

It's not really that serious though. The money on the line is pretty trivial compared to Code S, so a lot of the top players probably don't really practice all that much for GSTL specifically. It makes sense too, since the usual dominant players don't really perform that well in GSTL.

They care. See how depressed IM were when MVP and Nestea both lost? Yeah they definitely cared. About pride and money.

What are you saying, do you think the coach could've fielded a better line-up? youngwha was cannon fodder, but the rest? Happy got a 3kill, Losira had an epic ZvZ, and I don't have to say anything about mvp and nestea

People saying that MVP and Nestea didn't try their best in the team league is like saying they don't really care. I'm not saying that MVP and Nestea played poorly or anything like that. There were other players on that team that have not had as much success at the IM elite squad. They would get a share of the prize money, too. It's an insult to say they wouldn't have "tried" or played seriously for them. Surely, nobody expected Tails to dismantle them like he did, but he played very reactive and took advantage of every situation he could. He played his ass off. I wish people would stop discrediting what really happened here; the better TEAM won.

MVP tried to do the sure way to win but how would he know that 1/1/1 was figured out by tails of all people. Nestea made so many mistakes that he didn't deserve to win his game. You got to blame the players themselves for the poor results. I certainly wish they do better next season as IM would probably beat MVP on most other days.
