Prime didn't waste time sending bbongbbong and hongun against Bomber when Bomber came out. Prime sent out Marineking as soon as Bomber was playing. Difference? 5-2 instead of a 4-4 situation which might go either way. When IM has MVP who will beat DRG most of the days of the weak, why send in fodder?

Nestea: Forge FE vs 3hatch 1gas late lair, Tails goes 4gate DTs, kills the main lair due to a mistake by Nestea. Good defense from there on, Nestea does a huge roach drop which does moderate damage but loses his roaches. Nestea goes roach/hydra, has no spire or infestation pit, first 2 colossi are out. Nestea tries to drop again, stalkers blink under it while he's moving, loses his entire army, and from there on Tails just cleans up until Nestea GGs.

Well IM has made questionable decisions in the past (vs FXO for example), so this isn't entirely uncharacteristic, but I agree.

MVP doesn't expand and goes for an all in with heavy banshee play. Tails gets pheonix out and holds the push with his ground and air army and MVP gg's out Nestea opens up strongly and takes the gold as his 3rd. Tails does some weak gateway pressure which is held off, but manages to sneak dark templar into nesteas main killing his lair and all his tech. Nestea attempts to do drops into tails' main with roach/hydra but in one of the drops he gets caught out with his army in overlords by blink stalkers. Tails counters with a large army and beats nestea

He put on pressure at the gold, just to distract nestea while sending in 3 DTs, and warping in another after realising there is not detection in the main. Yeah but its not like he warped in those DTs at a corner of the map and ran them in. He warped them in full sight of nestea in the middle of the map then ran pass some spores. It could have been caught at the natural or gg, or nestea cld have a spore in his main and also gg. In general DT openings are like wishing, oh i hope my opponent misses something. Its not like you need amazing play to hold off DTs, you just need to be a lil less greedy.

Yeah, but then the fail is on Nestea's part, not Tails. In SC the dude who makes less mistakes wins, and today it was Tails.

As I said, GSTL finals are absorbing all the code S finals awesomeness. All GSTL finals have been great, not only because of games, but because of upsets, or because they had a unique story or atmosphere. Too hard to choose.

He needed Younghwa to bleed out a map that DRG probably likes, and Losira probably feels extremely confident against DRG - and he was right. The game was close.

When IM has MVP who will beat DRG most of the days of the weak, why send in fodder? Probably just a tad overconfident in sending in yonghwa. Honestly, the zergs would've been the most logical choices against DRG so I could've understood sending Losira. Especially considering Losira was a paper's width from beating Drg, but lost mainly due to having no detection and he also just barely missed a key fungal that would have wiped out Drg's low hp infestors.

He might have been lucky, he might have been behind if the DT harrass fail. But he could have retreated, morph DT into archons, defend and expand. He could have taken map control with the DT and keep up the harrass and expand behind using his DT. The game might have been closer if Nestea has a spore in the main. But seriously, when you are trying to defend your expansion, will you have the time to scroll over to your base? The better player during that game won. Stop saying the player don't deserve the win. Nestea deserve to lose and credit to Tails.

They really should of learned from that series as well as the Startale match. Send out Nestea/MVP once the other team sends their best player out. The "tire him out with lesser players strat" doesn't make sense to me. Why should a progamer who plays 20-30 games per day play any different after 2-3 games?

No, the game would've been over if those 3 dt's had warped in a second earlier or later. It took 6 dt's taking out an entire main to even up the game.
