Extended series freeking sucks. MVP lost to bomber in the winner's bracket and MMA hasn't lost yet. It's completely fair. This has nothing to do with extended series. It does. MVP won his extended series vs bomber 4-3, that makes him lossless. (extended series makes this happen, crappy I know). What? MVP has lost in the Winner's bracket. He has to play MMA in two Bo3s because of Double Elimination. Has nothing to do with Extended Series in this case. I'm just trolling extended series because it sucks. If you accept it for what it is, MVP has not lost yet. I do agree that in a normal double elimination 2x Bo3 is what MVP has to win. It works just like a normal double elim. But instead of 2 Bo3, MVP has to win a Bo7. Now, since it's in an extended series, MMA has to win 4 games total, not 2 anymore, because he lost the first two. Why is it extended and not just multiple bo3's? They never played each other in the winners bracket so there's no series for it to be extended from >< Because pretend they're playing the first bo3 and MMA gets eliminated. Then he gets another shot but the extended series rule makes it carry over so it makes sense in the form of the tournament. Not a very good format, but it makes sense.

How is it going to work out for Mvp and Nestea - if they have to play in the Global Invitational AND the big tournament's open bracket (which is already tiring in itself)?

Except that now with MVP winning 2 it completely flips the series on it's head. Now MMA needs to win 4 games something that only the Loser's should have to do. MMA's reward for having an extra life now is winning 3-4 games in a row, instead of under normal Double Elim, still only needing to win TWO games.

So is MMA now down 0-2 in an extended Bo7?
Gah, I'm so confused ><

Disappointing that we're over a year into SC2 and games are still being decided by the a couple banshees.

We need to flip some tables.

Yes. Now MMA is at a big disadvantage.
T.T
Extended series is a thoroughly terrible rule. This should be a standard double-elim, with 2 Bo3's if MvP wins the first series.

Yes he is and all of a sudden, he now has to work his way from behind. There is a reason why Extended Series never existed until MLG decided to be "unique" and create "grudge matches" in Halo. We have these wonderful scenarios where we get 2 game finals(normally) and the Winner's finalist going into a Bo7 down 0-2. What?!?

They just met in the grand finals, so the results counted toward the extended series as well.
I don't mind double elimination, but extended series is just bleh.

Why does it say that MMA has 0 wins? Just came in but I saw MMA win one

This is probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen. MLG really needs to get their shit together when it comes to this "extended series" bullshit.
Apparently each of MMA's losses counted double, that totally makes sense.

MMA did not make anything after 175 supply... wtf. he was stuck at 175-180 for over 5 minutes on 4 base.
