Extended series freeking sucks. MVP lost to bomber in the winner's bracket and MMA hasn't lost yet. It's completely fair. This has nothing to do with extended series. It does. MVP won his extended series vs bomber 4-3, that makes him lossless. (extended series makes this happen, crappy I know).
What? MVP has lost in the Winner's bracket. He has to play MMA in two Bo3s because of Double Elimination.
Has nothing to do with Extended Series in this case.

I don't know if he's better than even Ensnare, to be honest. He was fucked no matter which group he got placed into.
SlayerS encourages a healthy rivalry between their players, which is a good move if you want to produce competitive pros who strive to always improve their game.

It makes sense in a perverse way. Extended series is a continuation of the previous series. Thus Mvp did not lose to Bomber as he won the extended series.
I don't like that line of logic though. IMO Mvp lost to Bomber once, beat him coming from a disadvantage and now has to win 2 bo3s to win (once to "knock mma down to losers bracket" and once to win)

If you accept it for what it is, MVP has not lost yet. I do agree that in a normal double elimination 2x Bo3 is what MVP has to win.

The winner of this match of Bomber vs MVP, goes on to play vs MMA
The winner of that goes on to the finals at MLG Providence
MVP goes to the finals @ providence regardless, because he is blizzcon champion.
In the event that MVP wins vs bomber and MMA tonight, and takes the KR slot, the blizzcon runner-up NesTea will go as the blizzcon invite.
So MVP is guaranteed in regardless, it's just a matter of whether it'll be MMA or NesTea showing up as that final slot. :p In that case go MVP! We need more IM and less Slayers in foreign tournaments. QIM is sending Nestea and MVP regardless. Honestly shouldn't SlayerS be sending MMA regardless as well? MLG was already inviting MVP before Blizzcon MVP won Blizzcon, so the invite will most likely go to Nestea
Oh you know what I didn't realize this invitational is completely separate from the National Championship at Providence. It's kind of a squabble for spare change next to the $50,000 first prize of Providence LOL.

Is it even possible to beat this marine/tank timing with MMA's openers?

Two extremely aggressive builds in a row. MVP is really intelligent.
Down 2 games initially, he has quickly and efficiently tied the game back up and has not used much of his stamina doing so.
Good luck MVP! You just finished up games against Bomber, but hang in there!
