Seriously, he was only gonna have 1 cannon up when the nydus came up regardless of where it was. Check would've just ran all his lings up the ramp to kill the main nexus first instead, which would also have resulted in a win for him.
well you should scout for a third and if you don't see it you should have 2-3 cannons

But it has everything to do with riskiness. You have that forge and cannons next to your base, and you have 1 sentry. That Nydus play will never work. That must be one hell of a sentry. You hold long enough for 1-2 more sentries (MC had 2 out at that point in the game, if he had done the standard FFE, he would have held), and then your cannons and Voids will do the rest.
Well, a sentry and a cannon will never hold that amount of lings. They'd just die. And even if they did he'd lose his main, a ton of probes and a lot of mining time.
He was dead as soon as the nydus got up.

I believe there is no way Losira can make it without playing a 3-way tie.
If he wins, is very unlikely MC will win with no motivation = 3-way tie
If he loses, then needs MC to win to a 3-way tie, otherwise he is out.
