Yep. I don't understand how why people are labeling it as hate. Saying Tyler played poorly isn't hate, neither is criticizing the invites. No one thought Destiny would make it out of the first round and Tyler has performed poorly for months. 3-0s were expected and it's just frustrating how no one from EG was invited just because they share sentiments about Total Biscuit that most of the community has.

Is it because it's satisfactory and gives you a feeling of superiority to be able to criticize someone's play? Help me out here, because none of those seem like very good reasons to me.
What player DOESN'T get criticized in a tournament? Who didn't ask themselves why Inca kept doing the same build that didn't work the last 3 times? Why are people getting so defensive over this?

Make your own tournament and invite the whole EG team if it so pleases you.
Apparently some people still don't get the meaning of the word invitational.

Look, if I wanted a 1-0 transition into white-flag, I would have invited IdrA.
As it stands, fuck off.

It's not just the criticism, it's the tone and attitude in which it is done that's completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
People were bashing Tyler before his games were even played, just because he got the invite.

Nobody has a problem with the statement that Tyler played poorly. However, statements like "Tyler is horrible and his play level is amateur and he should never have been invited etc etc" are quite a bit different from saying that he played poorly.
I also have no idea what made you think you can speak for "most of the community" (regarding TB).

As for your second question, are we not allowed to discuss the games here? Is that not what a LR thread is for? The flaws are a part of the game and thus people discuss them, its not meant to be personal. Am I supposed to go "Tylers playing really bad, but I better not say anything not to hurt anyones feelings". Did you have a similar reaction when TheBest did his banshee harass and people joked about it?

Just ignore the negative posters TB/everyone else. Be it jealousy and/or lack of anything else in their life to be happy about they'll always be there. They're not worth your time. Constructive criticism is one thing but those just out to try and make hurtful remarks and play internet tough guy are just down right pathetic and serve no purpose.
Great tourny so far and the vast majority seem to agree.
It's thanks to people like you all that SC2 and e-sports in general will continue to explode world wide. Much love!
All 12 of us left over from the GSL party here thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Many thanks to all players/staff involved.. and all those who donated (Colin Smith is da MAN!)!
Keep up the good work!!!

Amusing. You feel entitled to voice your personal opinion by claiming that it is the same of the entirety of Team EG.

I can't believe the amount of people that are complaining in here.
You get to watch a nice event over the weekend that's really well funded. It's completely free. It has popular players in it, ones which you very rarely see play in tournament settings otherwise, it has some entertaining games thrown into the Bo5's... Jesus christ.
If you don't want to watch it for whatever reason, then just don't. Because the honest truth is, nobody really cares about your negative opinion unless it's constructive.

"Some" not "all" and certainly not "those who please Icarly".

Couple 3-0 but I enjoyed every game, especially Socke-Dimaga all 3 games and TLO-Destiny game 1. And great casting as usual

There would be much less complaining if people hadn't complained at a few people complaining leading to a protracted discussion about the nature of peoples complaining =p
----
I saw Tyler tweet to congratulate DDE and say DDE's 200 ladder games of practice are paying off which kind of surprised me given that's basically what everyone in GM has under their belt heh.

Really looking forward to tomorrow, the line up really starts to get stacked from here on out and there should be multiple awesome series to look forward to ^_^

Its like MLG Adam said in the thread about their new invitational, "although we could drop $100 bills from the ceiling in Orlando and people would still not be happy about something" TB/Genna, please keep doing what you do. Ignore the naysayers and ignorant cause they aren't worth the time or effort. There are way more of the community who appreciate all the work that you guys do, it's just another case of the vocal minority being louder. Honestly lately the TL forums are reminding me more and more of MMO Champ and other WOW forums with all the constant crying and complaining. And I don't think that's the kind of rep we need here.

SOME. Stop whining, he only has 6slots per tournament and you can't invite everybody. TB stated that he doesn't have a grudge with EG... Just the players on EG that have clearly slated him in the past. He even said that in future events he may infact invite some EG players. But why would he ever invite the ones that speaks negatively about him to his own event?

You're allowed to criticize anyone, obviously. What you might want to think about (but you probably won't anyway) is the appropriate tone when doing so.
