I know there are people who will disagree with me but right now if your tournament has no koreans it is not a high level tournament. Even just one would make this tournament so much more exciting in both story line and gameplay.

It would also give the first prize to the korean player. So what if there are no koreans? If you want koreans, go watch GSL. It's on practically every day.

I appreciate the transparency of the post-mortem TB, especially with the financials and about the brackets, have you considered trying a double-elim format? I realize you want the suspense of single-elimination but it feels like with such an emphasis placed on the brackets and who is invited you really do want the 2 best players meeting in the final.

Giving the first place prize to a korean player is a bad thing somehow? Many of the koreans on tonight's weekly would have been favored to win this entire tournament (and probably would have won), yet they get a much smaller prize pool for a much harder tournament (nothing against ESV they are doing a fantastic job and hopefully will continue to grow). I prefer seeing the better players win the better money and those are the kind of tournaments I watch/support, GSL, MLG, and Korean Weekly are the must see tournaments for me.

The invites for this tournament appear to be more popularity contest than merit, nothing necessarily wrong with that, it just isn't the type of tournament I prefer to watch (though I did catch a fair amount of this tournament, mostly because it was just on when I was looking for something to watch). That doesn't mean I'm some kind of elitist and refuse to watch anything without koreans, I just think if the logistics are feasible it would certainly not hurt for TB to throw in one or two popular or up and coming korean players. This is all just my opinion of course, feel free to disagree with it.

TB has said repeatedly that it is not feasible to do a 2-day invitational tournament across three (or more) different timezones, but that he does want to get an all-Korean event set up at some point in the future.
Tell my story to those who ask. Tell it truly, the ill along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest, is silence.

@Duravi: The thing is, if there's a korean player in it, we already know who's going to win it. And that's not exactly a fun tournament to watch, no matter how good the player is. Part of the fun is kind of the competition as well.

I don't mind if there's no koreans in a tournament, it's still a high level tournament without them.

Lets just calculate what this exactly means (24h clock, i didn't check the timezones exactly):
1. For EU the tournament starts around 12:00
2. For US the tournament starts around 4:00
3. For KR the tournament starts around 20:00

Now lets assume the finals start 4 hours after the tournament start on day2 (Semi finals, Bronze Match, then finals, no delays):
1. For EU it's 16:00
2. For US it's 8:00
3. For KR it's 0:00

No matter how you shift the tournament, there is no time which is ok for all 3 timezones, especially when it comes to delays or such. Make it earlier and players from the US can't participate. Make it later and players from Korea can't participate.

However, TB is planning on doing a special for korea, so lets wait and see what awesomeness he has planned.
