Yes. Our "day passes" are bronze passes and they grant access to all four days regardless if you will attend for only one. These are the cheapest available.

Personally, I prefer the system right now, where some of the best players get invited - three reasons.
First, it guarantees some sort of "racial balance". It would be horrible if 90% terrans and 10% P/Z qualified (not hating on the skilled terrans, but cmon now...).
Second, it guarantees that some of the best players come, who "might" haven't bothered qualifiying. Compare this to MLG open brackets. Many european pro-gamers don't go to MLG unless they are seated. Thorzain for instance specificly stated that open brackets are too much of a risk for him.
Third, the most obvious one: if everyone had to qualify, it's likely that a few top players get cheesed out by no-namers. Even though in the end probably only good players would survive, for an event of that scale it's too much of a risk.

New Update! We have heard your concerns and we have worked out a way for spectator packages to now no longer require hotel purchases. Our official website will reflect this change soon. However, you should take the time to book your rooms through our special event package, because the rate is better than anything you'll find at any other hotel in Atlantic City, nightly rate or for the entire weekend, plus you will be on location!
This means that you can purchase our various packages without having to commit to a room. This is especially helpful for locals who do not need hotel rooms but would still like the reserved seating and other perks. Thanks for this, just bought a Platinum package, was considering staying over Saturday night, but now I can just drive there on the weekend.

Dear IGN,
I would highly encourage you to actually try making a reservation with this hotel. Typically you are allowed to select the number of rooms and the number of people you are booking for, but not on this website. You can only select people, and if you do that, your room rate skyrockets. So to reserve three rooms, I have to make three separate reservations online or... I could try calling them.
And then talk to 6 different people, 2 of whom want to usher me off to a mysterious voice mail phone number and another who sends me to the front desk who sends me back to the incompetent people in reservations.
All this on top of the fact that ACY, the airport in Atlantic City, is not a major airport.

I have contacted the hotel regarding these issues and they should be fixed soon. In regards to the rate increases, if you select 1 or 2 adults, the rate does not increase. If you select 3 or 4, it does increase. So I recommend selecting just 2 adults and the double bed option if you'd like to book immediately.
As far as selecting multiple rooms, I will see if we can work with the hotel to enable multiple room booking at once. But until then, you will have to purchase them one at a time. The phone reservation service department for the hotel might not be aware of this particular hotel room rate package we are offering as it is a unique package deal that may not be available through normal reservation systems.
In regards to the airport, we recommend flying into Philadelphia Airport (PHL) and taking a shuttle to Atlantic City. On our travel page (http://www.ign.com/ipl/starcraft2/tournaments/ipl3/travel) we explain how to use a special group discount for Rapid Rover shuttle transportation to Atlantic City.

i agree, really helps out those players that are good, but never win big tournys. 1 or 2k is a lot of money when youre trying to break into the scene
