1) Follow it up with fast unit production [basically its like a functioning economy yet troops just beyond an initial rush timing] 2) Take a fast third then just churn out units He didnt really do 1 or 2, he pumped a lot of drones for his gold/main before actually taking his third and didnt kick in troop production until way later leaving a large timing window that ordinarily wouldnt exist. Seemed more like something hes seen a few times by others and thought it would be a cool psychological thing to throw out there than a prepared clinch build. | ||

well I don't think expanding to gold is a great response cross positions vs FFE but it's not like DRG played that well at all. he did basically the exact wrong thing | ||

DRG lost because he went hydras and didnt scout. To be fair tho, those colossi would've been really fucking hard to scout and JYP smartly put his gateways where an overlord would scout. DRG lost cause JYP blind countered his previous builds (mass ling) imo. | ||

DRG and JYP have shown tremendous potential, and I look forward to future games from them. DRG played quite clever, but got meta-gamed hard and made some questionable decisions that cost him games. JYP struggled against a monster DRG in Game 1, but managed to show several neat tactics (STORM DROPUU) that were quite nice to see. Nice to see him rebound from a 1 game deficit and show some solid play against a solid Zerg. | ||
