Dude at least here in north germany, our language education is reaaally shitty. Its just that English is so omnipresent on the net and especially in the esports scene. I learned the very basics in school and everything else from watching movies and webshows, reading forums and articles, etc. I've had Danish for about 4 years know and i can only form very basics sentences, if at all.

Or on State of the Game when JP calls him Mr.Personality or "that's the most emotion we have seen from NaNiwa so far". He came back on as a guest one or two more times after that. Both were really chill. After NaNi's MLG win iNcontrol said he would give PR coaching to him to improve his media skills. Regardless of if that happened (I would figure by now people have at least talked with him about those situations), he has improved that a lot.
We've seen him many times now where he is really himself and it's very pleasant. If you don't know about those occasions then you shouldn't be judging right? And you gotta remember he wasn't really in the spotlight before all that. It's new. So many people watching is scary. He's just "nervous awkward". Lots of people would be.
Also as a critique on the events. These are athletes who play the game. They aren't presentators or comedians. You have to hold their hand when you do the on stage action. They have to know when to come on, what to do, when they can leave!
When to leave is the most important. Yesterday there was an awkward outro because NaNiwa "snuk" away while they wanted to continue the interview. Then the interview later on that day, Joe Miller clearly said something as to wrap it up and extended his hand for a handshake, to allow NaNiwa to shake it and depart to his battlestation.
What a big difference that made. You gotta make a process out of it, script it, make it subject to guidelines. That can include an interview corner, or the interviews not necessarily after the match is played, and not with the players, you can do it with different people, community people or managers, whoever feels like it.
I don't know if that is something but it seems like it's a different approach that could work well because those who participate are motivated and prepared. You can never take away the basking in the glory of victory aspect though. They have to be able to cheer and have the crowd commend them for their performance. But that will usually happen naturally, but from the side you could throw in a "give it up for player X".
At MLG Columbus they sorta did that when LosirA was still in his booth messing with stuff. They put the camera on him still and he responded to the cheering, so it can work.

Well, posting on TL isn't very representative of personality either I'd say, even more so then interviews for obvious reasons. I'm just saying that judging a persons social skills based on interviews and posts made on a forum is silly

honestly, the only thing you need to actually see the arena for is positioning of characters, everything else can be deducted by the UI
e.g. just by that famous dwarf head picture I can tell you the shaman that was about to die didn't have NS/stoneclaw/trinket/stoneform cooldowns anymore, the DK that was raping him had used many cooldowns in order to deal damage and he was easily controllable right when that picture was taken, the warlock on the winning team was getting pressured in an effort to relieve some pressure off their shaman but in the mean while the whole losing team was getting pressured (DoTs) because in theory they shouldn't be able to kill the shaman without cooldowns so they were preparing a swap
you just have to know what to look for ;-)

You press the quality button, which says either HD or SD, to change the quality. The weird thing is, pressing HD actually takes you to the SD version, and pressing SD takes you to HD.
