Raven is really not the best lol. He should have not researched cloack for faster siege and added 2rax if he wanted to commit (I really don't think there were added since he had so few marines). he probably don't use this build often
The Raven is needed for that push. For the observers and also for the PDD.
Can you really afford (gas-wise) tanks, banshees, siege upgrade, cloak upgrade, and a raven? I really don't think that's feasible. Something needs to be cut out of that and he cut the raven (and forgot siege mode).
You can afford tanks, siege, 2 banshees, a raven and marines. Once you have those you can't quite afford constant raven/banshee and tank production.
Raven, siege, no cloak, banshee is imo the best variation (vikings if they go pheonix), but I'd like to see no siege, tank, banshee, viking, cloak and raven as a variation. I don't know of its affordable, but the cloaked banshees would destroy if the observer gets sniped.
It really just comes down to preference I think, I've tried the different variations and I prefer to snipe sentries with a cloak banshee and end off of that. I never feel threatened by stalkers when I do the push, it kind of feels like a joke how one-sided the push ends up when they don't have any sentries.

That's media training for ya, and usually this ends up in creating generic answers (fe. in interviews with football players after a match). which makes it boring. i like it just the way eSports are now, not too strict yet, players' personalities shine through in their interviews. I do favour the likeability of Tarson, White-Ra, Dimaga and Strelok, but i can also appreciate the bold and straight answers of the likes of IdrA and Naniwa.
I wouldn't put Idra and Nani in the same bracket at all. Nani did use to be more like Idra in the past, but now he's alright, just a bit blunt and awkward and it's not like he doesn't care about what he says (as we could see with him giving a diplomatic answer to Thorzain vs Tarson question).
Idra on the other hand I don't believe is honest at all. If anything he's just acting up a lot when he gives interviews because a bunch of his fans pretty much only follows him for that reason.

Yeah that is true, my point though is that Thorzain seemed to get into Naniwa's head in the last 3 games of the TSL finals. But I think that its probelby very even, and Naniwa seems to get even more motivated when facing someone who has beaten him before (thinking of MC primarely)

Idra is better than Naniwa at English yet he still spouts the first thing that comes to his mind, serioulsy they are under pressure when they stand on a stage and its not easy to come up with a speech on the fly....

And you are apparently missing a large portion of your brain. Whitera's accent does not mean he is worse at english, it means he has a more noticable accent. Also, the question asked was VERY awkward to answer right there in front of Tarson (not to mention his hundreds of fans). And once again, you can't judge a persons "social skills" based on interviews. They take place in front of cameras and audiences (some people might find that frightening, but might have zero problems in normal social settings). Now shut the fuck up, i would regard pushing a non-issue this far to be "Socially awkward" on your part you dimwit.
