I thought they were but all the streams have gone offline and no tweets about it from Apollo or TB. It makes me super happy though

Did i give an interview saying how awesome i'm going to be and make Russia proud? dont give those kind of promises if you cant deliver for a Russian? srsly, you have to realize that we dont give those kinds of promises if we are not ready to deliver (during times in history u'd get shot for failing). But he apologized Perhaps he was a bit disappointed

The guy qualified for 3 open seasons of GSL and got top 8 in Code S. Just 2 months ago he won an MLG group with Thorzain, MC, Ret, and Select.
In the past three months, MLGx2, Dreamhack, and Homestory Cup Idra has won his group or placed 2nd and made it to the championship rounds of all those tournaments.
Obviously he isn't winning lately but he has admitted he isn't practicing at the moment. Why do people want to act like he's bad? And for the record, he beat Sen 2-0 in that lan tournament before the finals where Sen beat him. Noone has said that he is bad, just that he is playing worse than he normally does which puts Stephano above him currently. Actually several people have said Idra is bad. And my point is that Stephano is not playing better than Idra. He isn't winning tournaments but neither is Stephano so you can't put Stephano above him.Getting 1st or 2nd of every group and making the championship rounds of every single MAJOR tournament the past three months is pretty good. When someone is first in ELO rank, you can assume that he is winning tournaments. ELO doesnt really have anything to do with winning tournaments, its about your skill in relation to other players skill (as i understand it) OGStheSTC hasnt ever really won a tournament (as far as i know) in the past while and he was sitting near the top of the ELO for quite a while. I think the factor is the players you beat and their skill level. (anyone want to chime in and either call me an idiot or tell me im right?) Elo doesn't factor in where the games are played. However winning tournaments is correlated with a high Elo because to win in a tournament you have to beat players with high Elos toward the end of the tournament. And oGsThestc has been placing well in online tournaments (like top 2s and wins in various FXOopens and Asia Championships) that most people on teamliquid aren't aware of and that is why he has good Elo scores in foreign and Korean databases. I dont think i said it factors in where the games are played. I dont even see how the location (or tournament) where the games are played would factor into their skill whatsoever (unless it was super complex and compensated for jetlag LOL, jk) unless you were responding to the person i quoted for that part. Yea i know he has placed well in quite a few smaller tournaments my point was that you dont need to be winning alot of tournaments (placing first) to get a good ELO rating. The thing is, he is winning a lot of tournaments. Many of the Europeans you might think come out of nowhere and take series against more well known players, are that good because they're playing against the other good Europeans every week in different cups. NA players don't really play in "small" 100 dollar cups that often, especially not the most known players, but that also reduces the level of play in those tournaments.
For example, Idra has 9 top 3 placements in TLPD, 4 gold (2 of them in showmatches) and 5 silver. Stephano has 20 entries, 14 gold 2 silver 5 bronze. Dimaga has 40 entries, 20 gold, 17 silver and 3 bronze. Nerchio 49 entries, 31 golds and 18 silvers. Kas has 59 entries, 37 gold 20 silver and 2 bronze.
EU has an advantage when it comes to ELO because of the huge amount of tournaments, but it's not like you can be master league and get a 2300 ELO just because you get to quarterfinals in most cups against other master league players.
