Personally would love to see Tester v NesTea finals. Tester has always had great PvZ and with July to practice with him I could see that being a great finals (if he can get by mini Nestea in Ro8 tomorrow!)

These games had nothing to do with practice and everything with mindset. MC was off today, usually his strategies work because he can get into the mind of the opponent.

These PvP series are pretty meh. Blizzard tells some times ago that they will fix the 4 gate issue but they didn't do anything.Guess we'll have to wait until HOTS to have a (hopefully) playable matchup...

My simple, lazy, and perhaps quite stupid solution: patch the game so that you can't research warp gate in a PvP.

Just move the WP upgrade to council or whatever,this is not fun to watch or play...and no,i'm not a MC cryfan,but 4gate is embarrassing,you shouldn't be allowed to get so far into a tournament just cause you can execute 1 simple build.

I think Hongun is just straight up 4 gating to punish him for this MC has four gated in both games. he ended up with 4 gates but he built extra probes. taldarim he had 4 extra probes i believe? 4 is a bit to greedy in a straight up 4gate vs 4gate
He had extra probes because he went for a build that usually results in a defensive 4gate but tried to be offensive with it. Poor execution by MC in that game, but we can't take it away from HongUn that he still played well enough to win the games he needed

Those 4gates sure are exceptional. Yes he is. He's still easilly the best Protoss in the world, anyone can lose a game, nevermind in PvP. Even Flash loses games.
Losing a Bo5 is not losing a game. And PvP is not random, it's just his build couldn't even counter the standard in PvP.
MC is not that good at PvP and that shows he didn't deserve to win, period.

Well, even if it's his second dream, he's still in it and doing pretty well. Maybe his success here will make him reconsider. He has plenty of time - years and years ahead of him - to pursue his other dream.

Yeah I really don't understand people who think that series was a one-sided roflstomping. IMO, people just look at the results (2-0) and don't actually remember the games.
Game 1 was not one sided at all. Game 2 Bomber choked a bit and NesTea got lucky with some burrowed banelings.
I might be wrong about game 2 and feel free to correct me if I am, but game 1 was definitely not extremely one-sided.
