Stay positive, be happy and enjoy the event. Caster bashing and player bashing? Too much whining? Uh-oh!

I am just a reader like everyone else...
So in Liquipedia the is a link to the official results page (Group results) and the brackets (Brackets).

The groups obviously do not follow the written rules and the tree is kind of funky shuffled.

1. Mutual match
2. Map score difference in mutual games
3. Map score difference in all games in the group
4. Won maps in mutual games
5. Won maps in all games in the group
6. Tiebreaker games (bo1).

from the rules page, tiebreaker criterias, nada should be 2

Oh, I see. Then Elfi should be #1 indeed.

Not if you are following this link: http://tournaments.peliliiga.fi/summer11/tournaments/view/9

:S

According to them, Grubby is number 2 in group E insteat of Welmu?

Yes, that's tiebreaker criteria, but when is it decided that it's a tie? After set score? After set and match score?

Haaa, wanted a stream of the event itself all day, thank you sir I'll bookmark it for tomorrow.

Awesome tourney by the way. Usually except GSL I watch tournaments then my attention decline with time (even happened this weekend@MLG), today it was quite the contrary, I casually watched at first then just watched avidly, at the point that it's now midnight and I thought it was still like 7pm ^^
Some great game, great casting (the french casters were very good, and usually I don't like french casters too much, I'll watch english over french for the same game)

Morrow seems to have a royal road until the semi finals at least, I can see him winning this.

By the way TL staff, for tomorrow Assembly is not in the calendar.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Assembly_Summer_2011#Brackets has been updated to what appears to be the correct bracket.
There were some confusions before originating from the group rankings on their site being wrong but the bracket page being correct.

If you find any mistakes let us know please.

Well, those two did play a Tiebreaker game and they also both have the same score in the group results page. Welmu is the one who appears in the brackets though.
So that sounds about right.

I just looked at Grubby's match history and there wasn't any tiebreak match between him and Welmu.

After match score is what makes the most sense.

Yes, that's what I'd think too, but it seems they do it differently.

The reason why I think it should be after map score or difference:
Let imagine NASL group where P1 went 2-0 against P3-10, and 1-2 against P2. He would have a total map score of 17-2, +15 map difference. P2 went 2-1 against P1 and P3-9 and 0-2 against P10, he's got a total map score of 16-10 and a +6 map difference. Yet he would be ahead of P1 in standings because he won against him, if mutual match result was first tiebreaker after set results.
In a 4 man group the biggest difference would be one player going 5-2 and the another 4-4 in matches, but the 4-4 player getting first in the group.

If that's how they do it, that's fine, but it would be nice to know which one it is because their brackets and groups said different things.
Bad manners are better than no manners at all.

Their groups and bracket probably say different things because automated tournament systems usually aren't designed to take direct result into consideration, rather just the map difference. Happens with the ESL and other tournament groups as well and have to be manually changed.

How did HuK lose to jimpo?

Against MaNa I could understand since it's PvP but vs Jimpo? did he do some all-in or did HuK just not play to his usual level ?

Huks has had hard matches against really good european players. Darkforce gave him a hard game in the series huk won. Jetlag may have some effect but his play seemed good to me. Just good matches vs good players on both sides. Why did it have to be an allin or cheese for huk to lose?

Grubby did pretty well. He fought hard against Kas, forced a deciding game but couldn't deal with a 1-base 4rax pressure.
