He threw it in the sense that he drastically overproduced brood lords. He was winning up until that point, and with any real composition, could have fared well enough against the Rays to hold his lead, and MC would have dried up and lost.
Instead he put everything into a ridiculous amount of Brood lords(more than you should ever really make), and left himself with a huge weak point that should never really exist. It was a giant, game deciding mistake.
But that kinda shit happens.

He should have lost in reality but Sen snarfed it by making too many Broodlords. Just imagine DRG or NesTea playing, MC doesn't look like he can even stand a chance.
DRG rates his own ZvP as a 6 compared to an 8 for his ZvT, as he said in a very recent interview (it might have been an MVP of the day for GSTL week 3 or it was a DRG special). Losira's vP is probably better than DRG's. But I give very good chances for MC against anyone except Nestea, where it's probably just too close to call.
It's silly to say MC doesn't stand a chance based on Nestea>Losira>DRG>Sen because of this series. MC can watch Inca vs Nestea as well as re-think his 3 zealot opener he uses on XNC and realize that the 3 zealot and DT openings probably aren't going to work. Everyone got real excited about Sen's 2-1 lead but game 3 MC got behind too much early with the fail 3 zealot, fail DT's, and if I remember, losing another 3 zealots to a surround where Sen was micro'ing lings away from the Z's.
MC can probably open stargate after or before expo every game and get the knowledge he needs and do some damage if his opponent is unprepared. I don't know if Losira, DRG, or Nestea use as many queens, although they might do so if they face MC if they watched this series, heh.
