Anyway, wether you like him or hate him, Idra is the most famous and well known SC2 persona, his streams can get more live viewers than a D9D, etc etc. I bet NesTea or MC could have more viewers than IdrA if they actually had a stream featured on TL. Let's say that they would have easily more viewers who are interested in their playing, rather than in the drama aspect. I wouldn't even leave my computer if Nestea was streaming. I heard that Nestea ladders poorly on purpose as to not reveal any builds he's developing. That's pretty badass, but what's the point of laddering at all, then? Does he just focus on mechanics and holding off cheese, or something? I think he worded it terribly. He doesn't ladder poorly, he just won't use his GSL strategies on ladder as he doesn't want people knowing them.

Idra's balance whines are not 'logical and based on facts.' He's the one who suggested Infestors be able to cast fungal growth while burrowed.
Ancedotal evidence does not dispute a trend, there were a lot of other things he said in that interview, not to mention a lot of other interviews overall.
Also, my original point was that Idra is a celebrity, and it seems like it's true, a lot of pepole really love him and really hate him, I don't deny that i'm a big fan of idra (won't call myself blind fanboy though, I was really disappointed about him after last MLG), but I still think he is one of the best foreigners in the world.
Now, I won't risk derailing the thread further, so let's accept the turth as it is - Idra is the most famous SC2 persona, wether by being loved or hated, the simple fact that he has more haters than a lot of progamers has fans means something about how famous he is. Day[9], Tastosis and MC are also really famous, notice that MC has some haters as well.
Let's just agree that I think he's a great player and a funny guy, you think he's a whiner and BM
Have a good night!

His intentional snarfing is probably better than 90% of other Korean pros. Plus I doubt he holds back on his macro in ladder games.

In dreamhack, I'm pretty sure Nestea/MVP were invited or atleast tried to be invited; even Anypro got an invite. In TSL, they both didn't get very far. Did they even apply to NASL?
