this has been a sad joke... being made to wait an hour between games only be confronted with broken audio and just bad games in general is shockingly bad.
Given this and the spoiled poorly uploaded VoDs NASL S1 has been shockingly bad, they are going to have to pull a rabbit out of there arse if they expect me to be purchasing a pass in future.

Meh, I feel for the guys, remember MLG ? They sucked even worse on their first tries. Give the guys a break!

It was more international that way. I loved it and would be glad if SC2 went the same way, to be honest. I think it is pretty funny the way it is now in SC2. I don't think anyone is going to deny this, but the Koreans are just better at the moment. We have some guys who can win some games from the Koreans, but that is it.
Even though the Koreans have the better players (And a lot more of them) they still want to be in foreign teams (This are not the top notch players, maybe they want television time this way, and also international tournaments) and foreign events.
Really want to see how this will turn out.

I mean normally people complain about the volatility of SC2..... any random Code A player would go better than 0-8 or 3-22 (or whatever the dreamhack score was) due to said volatility. It just seems that most "top" NA/EU players arent even close to Code A, much less Code S quality. I dont know if theres even a handful of players outside Korea of Code A quality. Naniwa probably, maybe Idra, Whitera, Thorzain, Select. Give or take one or two names, rest just seems to not be at that level or close to it. Naniwa, Thorzain, Huk and Idra are not here, even though they were eliminated/no invite etc... they are the foriegn "powerhouses" Thats my point. Knowing that theres maybe 5 (?) foreigners among the 50ish (64 players are Code A or S) best players in the world, and probably no more than 10 in top 100..... thats very discouraging. Probably 5 out of 100. There's tons of great players like Moon, DRG and Puma that aren't in Code A or S.
I mean Sheth did choke pretty hard today, miscouting in one game, then throwing away a massive advantage with a terrible choice to fight, but he did alright in Korea, winning his RO32 match, and winning a GSTL game. There are more foreigners then you think who can compete at the low GSL level. From America: Sheth, Slush, and Fenix are both under-rated heavily. From Europe you also have many highly skilled players flying under the radar.

A lot of the people in this thread. Oh dear lord, please show a little bit of respect? A little bit of restraint? A little bit of dignity?
It is alright to be disappointed. It is alright to not like something.
But what has been shown in this thread, more so than in any other thread that I have seen on TL (and perhaps this is just me not looking hard enough, who knows) is that this community has parts of it that is a huge, festering sore.
People like me, new to the site just swearing, starting flame wars, having nothing constructive nor positive to contribute.
It might be sad that NASL is struggling so much with production. It might be sad that Koreans are completely outclassing the opposition.
But it is truly sad to read the majority of comments in this thread. I agree, but there is a reason this is happening. I have never seen a TL thread like this, and that in itself says something. I feel really terrible for NASL right now. Their hearts and intentions were in the right place. With that said, I feel the same as 90% of the thread posts. Its been pretty damn bad thus far. Please, every Nasl thread has been like this. People are just holding a grudge, most of the issues right now are minor and the majority of the whining is from europeans who are tired and grumpy.
edit : Also this 1 hour break is genuinely badly needed for the players. I'd rather they play at their fullest and have to wait an hour than have them starving for days.

Soo... today is the Ro16... tomorrow Ro8 and Sunday the Ro4 and final?

When there's no foreigner to root for I root for Moon(actually I root for Moon all the time but meh)

More successful =/= more skilled. But yes he's very successful.

NASL always has this feel of unfinished product, like they're not planning enough and just not thinking enough beforehand. I don't hate nasl, I'm still watching, but even when they have the best casters, players, venue, they still manage to put stupid rules like xelnaga crossfire as forced maps for the whole round of 16, which makes all games feel the same and makes the whole thing boring. Tastosis has still not casted one game, the show runs for more than 6 hours and we saw 8 games and are on a one hour break, which with the intros will make exactly 8 games in 8 hours. Poor MC and Boxer who are playing like one full workday (12 hours) after the show start, I really hope they're sleeping right now.
I'm out for tonight, I'm sure it will be better tomorrow tho.

Because Lyn doesn't have the Blademaster imbalance in SC2.
