He's been sniped in GSTL a couple of times and his losses to Polt last season were all early game pushes. That's how pretty much every Protoss loses most of their PvTs though, MC is just following the trend. Terran 1base timings are incredibly strong. Yeah, poor protoss players. They're all such macro-oriented players and all of them aim for the late-game and the evil terrans take them down with unstoppable all-ins .

That would be true of mediocre zergs, but its the 2 best ZvZ'ers in the world, and one has a standard style and the other has unorthodox style should be very entertaining.

Hope to see MC vs Bomber final. That's the best vs the best.

I can't remember the last time a Terran who chose to play a macro game with MC in GSL/GSTL.

Usually i try watch the games i miss before checking results but i couldn't resist this time! HuK! So happy! But then lands in an MC PvP stand off (again)! A lot of good players so we may get that elusive finals of epic proportions!
Lol the lower half of the Ro16 bracket could possibly TvT the entire way to the finals :p

i do hope Nada can show up on grand final stage but playing against nestea could possibly be another typical 4-0 4-1 boring final series

That is just how it is, just as Zergs lose most of their ZvTs to early pressure. In both cases one race tends to be stronger the longer the game goes on, so they try to play greedy and sometimes die to early timings.

since huk always lose to the winner of the tournament early on, i think MC is going to win this.

You mean they have no way to fast 3 base, no scout the opponents base and be save against all possible techs. So he should stay on even bases against a FE'ing Protoss? LOL! And how is he supposed to scout? He sacced an Overlord, but got denied, what else was he supposed to do? By the time he teched to Lair and was able to morph an Overseer, 3 Voids were already in his base.. If he blindly goes for one spore at each hatchery and extra Queens, that's like 600 minerals at least, which is huge that early in the game.. MC is a very smart player and knows how weak Zerg is early game against air, that's why he goes Voids all the time. But if he doesn't, and straight up 6-7 gates, then Kyrix dies because he's behind from all the minerals he had to invest in spores and extra Queens. If he goes for Spore blindly, MC has 3 Voids and can do almost nothing with them. Also huge Money waste.
I don't see your argument that there should be a super save and super econ build. Protoss is actually extremely weak against timing pushes (Roach, mass ling, bane) when waiting up to 3 Voids till moving out.
The answer stays scouting. No one says it's easy to do. But what do you do against Terran? 2port cloacked banshee e.q.?

It was quite evident in his games against Keen and HongUn that he's been practising.

I just want to see MC vs. Nestea in the semis. If anyone's going to crack MC's PvZ, it's Nestea.

Today was a good day for a lot of liquibets. Also great to see Huk going through!

These results set up some interesting ro16 matches.
First off MC is gonna want revenge against Huk for their last meeting, but Huk has shown that he has what it takes to take games off the perennial champion.
And Bomber vs Polt is also pretty sick. In light of recent results, Polt (4-0 MMA) and Bomber (4-2 MVP) have arguably the two best TvTs in the world right now (although I guess Nada might have something to say about that). It's a pity that it's only gonna be a bo3.
