Lots of very good TvT players too though, every chance he loses one of those. Polt, Nada, Top/Losira, Clide...very hard to win all of those. Well Losira and Bomber do have some history which could make it an interesting series. (...Dance of Death...)

Don't get me wrong, his games were really really entertaining to see, but all he did was catch the opponents off guard with very uncommon play. His actual engagements were pretty bad, with a lot of mismicro so I doubt he can keep up the results.

He's been sniped in GSTL a couple of times and his losses to Polt last season were all early game pushes.

And while his amazing domination of Terrans has waned, it's probably his best matchup (PvP or PvT, it's a toss-up), PvZ is his worst, but that's only because he has such a limited number of builds he goes for in that matchup. Actually, PvZ has become his most powerful match-up. PvT is statistically his worst. PvP is his best statistically, although he loses from time to time because PvP is such a volatile match-up. Although in general, he's pretty good in all three match-ups.

The thing about good players is they're capable of learning from their past mistakes. Why does everyone assume that players have a fixed skill level that can never increase with practice?

So he should stay on even bases against a FE'ing Protoss? LOL! And how is he supposed to scout? He sacced an Overlord, but got denied, what else was he supposed to do? By the time he teched to Lair and was able to morph an Overseer, 3 Voids were already in his base.. If he blindly goes for one spore at each hatchery and extra Queens, that's like 600 minerals at least, which is huge that early in the game.. MC is a very smart player and knows how weak Zerg is early game against air, that's why he goes Voids all the time. But if he doesn't, and straight up 6-7 gates, then Kyrix dies because he's behind from all the minerals he had to invest in spores and extra Queens.

He's been sniped in GSTL a couple of times and his losses to Polt last season were all early game pushes. That's how pretty much every Protoss loses most of their PvTs though, MC is just following the trend. Terran 1base timings are incredibly strong.
